Product Description

Another great toy from the makers of the Da Bird. The Cat Catcher Teaser Wand toy has a cute little mouse attached to a flexible braided wire and then connected to a 12" glitter wand. The mouse averages 2 Inch in length with a tail that averages 3 Inch. A fantastic toy to interact with your kitty for play and exercise. Colors may vary. The Cat Catcher is handcrafted in the USA from top quality materials * As with any product. Please supervise your pet's use of this toy. Inspect product often for rips or tears and remove toy if damaged or if parts become separated, as injury may result.

The wires frayed and broke within one day of having the wand.

Something about having the metal wire between the wand and the toy makes the little mouse move much more "naturally" than similar toys that use string.

Even my cat that's very lazy and picky about what she likes to play with loves this toy!

I am a licensed veterinary technician who works at a feline-only hospital. We recently started carrying these Cat Catchers so I took one home for my two cats. They absolutely LOVED it!! They go nuts for it!

I like the wire instead of the string since my cats have a history of eating string (yikes!), so there is less damage of chewing and swallowing it. Though it's still a supervised-only toy. Both of them sit by the closet where I keep it and meow at me until I get it down.

Every client who has bought one has raved about it. I don't know what it is about these toys, but cats LOVE them!! I'd highly recommend this toy for any age cat.

I have to say it's my fault. When i first saw the toy i realized it can be a hazard but my cats loved it too much. I decided to keep it and even bought several ones to replace it. my cats really really loved it. The problem with this toy is that the part that attaches the mouse to the wire has small parts that can get stuck in a cat's tooth while playing. I tried to be extremely careful when handling this toy but it seems that you can never be careful enough :(
It chipped a relatively small part of my cat's tooth, but this warning is more than enough. I felt like i was obliged to tell everyone about this. By the way, the same thing applies to the other version of the toy (the one with feathers). I will post the same review for the other version as well.
I really hope the company sees this and try to modify the toy.

I just happen to pick this toy up at my vet's office and expected it to be like most other toys I bring home to my cats. I was wrong. This is by far one of the best toys ever.

I have four cats and they all want this mouse to themselves. They exhaust themselves chasing and jumping after it. I have to hide the toy away in a drawer just to give them (and myself) a rest. Even then they sit at the drawer and wait for me to get it back out.

I have one cat that needs to lose a bit of weight and it is very hard getting him to be active since he broke a hip a few years ago. He is an older cat and I have not seen him move like this in years. He actually chases around after this mouse and comes off the floor jumping for it like a kitten and has not lost interest in it yet.

This little mouse is attached to a wire rather than a string and it looks like a real mouse running across the floor. I suspect that is what creates such a reaction in my cats.

I went back and bought a few more as I do not ever want to be without this toy!

I received this cat toy in the mail today. I have two kittens that are about six months old. They both went absolutely bonkers when I waved the wand around. Unfortunately, one of my kittens bit the toy mouse hard enough to break off the plastic bead the tail is attached to, which has now left a sharp metal rod exposed. Also, the toy mouse is made of a synthetic rubber-like material, so it flaked off easily. This toy literally lasted about 15 minutes, under my complete supervision. I would not recommend it.

My cat has tried every toy under the sun and this is BY FAR the best cat toy ever! It moves like a real mouse because of the way it is attached to the wire...wiggles and appears alive. My cat goes nuts for it and grabs it in her mouth and carries it off, pole and all!!!
She has chewed it up for several months and it has lasted pretty well. My only problem was the the metal wire ended up splitting, so I am going to buy a new one. LOVE THIS TOY!!!!!!!!

I purchased this item many times, as my cat absolutely adores this toy. He even loves the mouse on its own without the wand. Unfortunately, these days it seems the wand and wire parts are not well made. The first of these that I bought lasted nearly a year with vigorous use. However, the wire on my recent purchases keeps fraying or breaking at the clasp and its rare for it to last a month. The one I bought in late March 2012 just broke. It's the third one this year... sigh. My cat's happiness versus my pocket book. $13 isn't cheap for a cat toy that only provides satisfaction for a couple weeks.

The top rubber tip that connects the wand with the wire came off within one hour of play. Super glue will not hold it. Otherwise a good item...they loved it until that happened!
