When Nin arrived one day, looking for shelter, Susan and Mark had a problem: they couldn't give enough attention to the three cats that now lived in their home. Nin had been an only cat, and he had trouble sharing. Mark decided to take Nin to the Mount Washington observatory. Nin wandered around the observatory and as the seasons changed, Nin found lots of visitors, and lots of playful friends. Beautiful watercolor illustrations pair with an intermediate text to create an interesting picture book for 5-8-year-olds.

The recipients of this gift climbed Mount Washington and know just where the summit observatory is. When they read the story to their children, they will tell them that they were there and identify which cat lived on the summit at that time. It's so nice to have a personal relationship with a book one reads to their children.
