Note: In response to the reviewer's question of how to move the cats. You don't click on the cats themselves. You select the links at the top of the playing board that say #_to_#. The first number is the cat to move and the second number if the space where you'd like to move it. All legal cat moved are represented.

This was answered in a comment on the review but I thought I'd better post it here too for everyone's sake.

    Description:
Cat Jump is a fun and simple game. The object is to clear all but one cat from the playfield by jumping over them to a blank spot on the board (like checkers). I modeled this after the popular golf-tee type peg games that can be found in many honestyle food restaurants.

The playfield starts completely full of cats except for one blank spot. On the Start Page, you can choose which spot you'd like to have empty to begin. The difficulty of winning the games varies quite a bit depending on this choice.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just like the puzzles at Cracker Barrel restaurant December 24, 2010
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a really simple game. You move the cats like checkers and when you jump over another cat is disappears from the board. The object is to jump all cats and be left with just one remaining. You can choose any starting board configuration possible. The game says that some configurations are harder to solve than others. I haven't played it enough to say whether that's true, but I assume it is.

It's amusing to play for a few minutes at a time. I wasn't sure if I should rate it 3 or 4 stars but then my husband pointed out that the physical game that the restaurant sells costs $4.99, so this game for $0.99 that does the same thing is a pretty cheap alternative.

The previous reviewer said they couldn't figure out how to move the cats but I didn't have any problem with that.

It's not too bad for the cheap price. If you like these type of puzzles, I'd say it is worth $0.99.

4.0 out of 5 stars Read for directions February 13, 2011
    Format:Kindle Edition
For you guys who can't figure out how to work the game, you have to click the links ON TOP, not the cats below.

I've played the game 3 times so far, each time on a different difficulty. It does take some time to solve the puzzles, but I was able to solve each without any frustration. It didn't entertain me for long, but the money goes towards a good cause (rather than some greedy CEO). At 99 cents, I'd say it's a pretty decent game.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than the average rating suggests December 12, 2011
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I was a bit doubtful about getting this, given the average rating wasn't high (3 stars, when I looked), and the "freezes my kindle" review was a bit alarming, but I grabbed it on a freebie day and have found it quite good. Yes, it's a little clunky to move around the screen, but that's what you expect with a "tabbing" action. On each go, the possible moves are listed up the top of the screen, and you simply move the cursor then click the 5-way to select your preferred move.

It's one of the few interactive games for kindle that's available to Aussies, so I'm pleased to have it.

    4.0 out of 5 stars entertaining March 25, 2011
    By JGA
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I just wanted a little game to amuse me for short periods of time and this game does the trick. Judging from the reviews, I enjoyed this game more than the other reviewers.

I like puzzles, but am not a puzzle master. The game provides me with enough challenge that it maintains my interest.

It's a little clumsy to make the moves using HTML links, but that is a limitation of the Kindle.

3.0 out of 5 stars Can't figure out how to make the moves December 17, 2010
    Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Would the author post more directions, please? I thought this would be a fun to play, but he doesn't say how you make the cats move. I can't figure it out. I might like this if I can learn how to play! The instructions within the book are the same as in the description here. I did purchase this one.

    1.0 out of 5 stars Dissapointed February 24, 2011
    Format:Kindle Edition
First of all, this isn't really a game. On your home menu it dosn't even say "active" on the side. It's set up more like a book and you are able to turn pages between levels. It' cheap and I would say it was a waste of money if it didn't go towards a good cause. I do not recremend buying this so called "game" at all.

It is not really at all entertaining, I could never get into playing it. I have other games on my Kindle that I enjoy much more.

1.0 out of 5 stars not easy toplay
Don't waste space on your kindle with this game. The controls for Kindle are difficult to use. It was free so I got it but it is not even worth the space it takes up.
