Review
This book by Peg Silloway is for everyone who has ever loved and been loved (owned) by a cat, whether purebred or pound-found. Each page represents a day in the life of cats - the unique names we give them (or they choose for themselves), the famous people who have hosted them, and their place in history, myth, and magic. There are also many extras sprinkled like catnip throughout this book to provide warmth, affection, and laughter.
The historical stories provide interesting and compelling cat facts. The vivid pictures of the cats featured make the stories feel more familiar as you put a face to the names. The book is humorous, heartwarming, and unforgettable, and we at HealthyPet highly recommend reading it. --HealthyPet Magazine, Summer 2010
About the Author
Peg Silloway has been a cat person since a small fluff of black-and-white barn kitty with a funny face captured her heart when she was about eight years old. These days she is owned by a large calico (world-class purr, not a great intellect) and a small long-haired gray-and-white cat (small purr, wild dashing about at crazy time). Peg believes that nourishing the cat-loving part of ourselves makes us better able to handle all the other stuff life throws at us.
Peg received the Muse Medallion awarded the the Cat Writer's Association of professional journalists and authors for this book.
