We found this book at the local library and our daughter fell in love with it so we had to get a copy for ourselves. Hands down her favorite book - we read this to her every night and she's even able to recite the whole book. A fun, if a bit silly, book with very expressive illustrations.

Two kittens mean double the trouble in this fun "rumble-tumble" of a book. The series of boisterous verses each end with the "skidoo" refrain:

Helter-skelter,
roll and bounce.
Skitter, scatter,
leap and pounce!
Kittens in the green grass-
one cat, two.
Here comes Dog, so ...
CAT SKIDOO!

The high-energy drawings-done in pen and ink and watercolors-catch the rambunctious kittens as they roll with a ball, climb a tree, create havoc in general and finally-curl up in their naptime basket.

"Cat Skidoo" delights in kitten antics to entertain and amuse the young of heart.

Cat Skidoo is a delightful book for preschoolers. The little mischievious kittens are adorable. They have quite a knack for getting into some scrapes. However, they way they get from one scrape to another is also funny. I would like to see this as a cartoon, so entertaining and one I could watch with my niece after a day of playing with her kittens. I know my niece enjoyed this book and she also really liked the illustrations. I recommend this as a must read for any preschoolers in your life. Delightful and lovely.
