The Cat who Had Sixty Whiskers,
By
This review is from: The Cat Who Had 60 Whiskers. (Hardcover)
A great disappointment. Characters have become cardboard, icons of previous books wiped out without a blink ( or should I say, a twitch of a whisker). The book before this was downhill, and this one is a plummet to the bottom. Sad. Earlier books sparkled with wit, very human characters and itelligent story movement. Not so now,

The Cat Who Had 60 Whiskers #29 by Lilian Jackson Braun
In the last installment of the capers of Qwill, Koko and Yum Yum, we find a new Senior Center in the works and a frisky rendition of CATS is set to thrill the residents of Moose County. Polly is off for a 2 week sojurn to Paris with another female friend, leaving the Apple Barn without concerts. The Librarians Who Lunch are ready to put on a show of their spectacular Art Hats to unite the residents of Pickax and Lockmaster. Everyone except Koko is baffled by the mysterious death by bee sting of a resident. The quirkiness of these townsfolk make these books utterly charming. |
