Works good, unless you need to unplug it...,

If you are making a permanent network and need a few cost effective cables get these! If you think you will need to unhook the cables or anything you may want to look elsewhere...
PROS: +works at expected speeds +great length for going across a living room or computer lab. +no snag end protects the ends if being pulled through a wall or tight space CONS: -very difficult to unhook from the ethernet card (and I have tried it on 2 laptops, a desktop an xbox 360 and a ps3 with the same result on all) -minimal shielding means if you're going over florescent lighting or past live power you may lose data often. Overall it gets a 3/5 because it does work good for the casual computer user and it's really affordable but if you really know about computers you'll see a few flaws that would have been easy to remedy pre-production.

Cheaper than the one in the store and anywhere else online even if you count in the shipping fee. Quality is good in general. Nothing to complain about so far.

I don't get the negative reviews; I pulled this cable through 4 wall sections with no damage or connector looseness, what so ever. Works just fine.

The overall rating of this product was good, so I was both disappointed and surprised to find that the cable didn't work.
Upon close examination of the photos on the sale page, I realized that this is not a single product. If you closely examine the photos of the item show at least 3 different products. And the one that they shipped me was a 4th and cheaper looking version. The text printed on the side says "Global Link Network Patch Cable 5e 4pr-etl tia/eia-568b". The plastic filling is irregular and shows bubbles. The plastic is extremely soft and has an odd smell. Did I mention that the cable didn't work? There's no way this meets 5e standards. I ordered 2 other cables at the same time of different lengths. This one, sold by: fastvibes, was the only one that didn't work. The best quality one was sold by: Amamax. If I see another cable for sale by Amamax I might buy it, but otherwise, based on my experience and the reviews, buying a network cable from this page is a crapshoot- not worth it. Amazon has some QA/QC issues to work on here.

Great price, speedy shipping, but in the end, cable didn't work. Dissapointing when you need the cable for a home office but want to avoid giving Best Buy 30 dollars for the same thing. On the contrary, Best Buy's cables probably work though.

The only good thing about this product is that it's cheap. The plastic that wraps around the wires is already falling apart after just a couple of days. On one end of the cord, the thing that snaps it into place broke off. The connection goes on and off unless you're completely still. Also, the color of the cord is not the same as seen in the picture.

The cable worked exactly as I expected it to, delivering data and such, BUT, the ends of the cable were not good. They stuck in the ports and I had to use a small eyeglasses screwdriver to get the cable out.

I am absolutely not an expert, but this cable has served me pretty well. I have it connecting a pc to a router. I use that pc solely for an online video game. It's been fine. I know some people had trouble with the ends breaking. I took this through a tight hole in the floor, squeezing it past another cable in the same hole, and it was fine. The only issue I have encountered...on a couple of occasions, the router hasn't been able to locate the cord even though it is plugged in. It took some jiggling and blowing to get it to work. I think it has happened twice in the 4-5 months that I've had the cable. It is definitely the cable since I have never had this problem with anything else connected to the router, and my other cables work fine in the same slot. That being said, I would still buy it again. It gets the job done for a good price.

Talk about someone or some company doing something right! How about three companies all doing the elusive `right' thing? 1. On Friday, early afternoon, an order was placed on Amazon for this item because Amazon had the best price. The same item at Staples, WalMart, Best Buy, you name it, the price was 4 or more times as Amazon's. Chalk one up for Amazon! 2. Less than 2 hours later, an email was received from CAAG Technology stating my product had already been shipped and to expect it inn 7-10 day. Hooray for the Amazon partner supplying the product!! 3. Finally, the often and much maligned USPS stepped up, big time and delivered my purchase at 9:40 AM Monday!!! Let's recap. Money was saved, the product arrived sooner than expected and it worked perfectly!!!! Can't get much better than that. Kudos to all three companies.

It's inexpensive, it works, and seems to be good quality. Perfect length for dorm rooms.
