Potty Training Rock

We got a puppy back in September and shortly thereafter bought one of these hoping to entice her to use one part of the yard for her "business". She is completely disinterested in the potty rock. It does not attract her and when she's led to it, it actually seems to repel her.

Our dog, Buddy, had burned out a few spots on our lawn, much to my husband's chagrin. We put a Potty Rock where we wanted Derby to "go" and lead him to it. He sniffed and went there right away. We praised & rewarded him. Each time we took him out to "go", we took him to the Potty Rock and praised him for going there. After 3 days, we let him out on his own. YES! He went straight to the Potty Rock!! It's been a week and Derby is still using Potty Rock. Husband is very happy to think he'll have an all green lawn again! I totally threw away 22 dollars on this product. I suppose it may work with some dogs. It didn't work with mine at all.

Don't bother I have 3 dogs... none of them were drawn to the potty rock. Waste of money. Go to the woods and get a rock... Free potty rock..

This item was worthless. Purchased on Amazon and we faithfully followed the instructions to a T and our dog would not go near this item. It was a total waste of our money. When the dog would not even sniff the rock we went out and purchased some drops that were suppose to get the dogs attention. The addition on the added drops was another waste of money. Time and money lost ..... save your money!

This was a waste of money. Both of my dogs ignored it & continue to go potty wherever they chose.

This Potty Rock does not work! My dog sniffed it and walked away! Don't waste your money ... I did.

My two dogs didn't so much as give this a once over, despite the many different ways I tried to introduce it. In fact, I'm fairly certain they made the effort to pee everywhere the rock wasn't...

We breed Bichon's and Yorkies. We place the potty rock on top of a potty pad in their pen and they come out of the crate and go straight over to the pad and do their business. We have had a lot of them pee and poop right on the rock. It has cut our cleaning work in half as most of the mess now ends up on the potty pads near the potty rock. Of course when you have a whole litter their will be some that mess elsewhere. But this has worked for us with actually no effort put into training on our part. Well we do praise them when they go on the pad. But other than that they get the idea all on their own. As breeders we will continue to use them. It hasn't really interested our adult dogs. But you know what they say "it's hard to teach an old dog a new trick". But we haven't really tried to train them to it. I don't know how to account for all the negative reviews other than maybe you're more likely to comment when you're disappointed. It may not work for all but it definitely works for us.

So far this product has not been succesful. I live in Argentina and the morning after I put the potty rock in the garden, leaning on a tree, it appeared quite a few meters away so obviously one of the three dogs had carried it there!!!! They still carry on pooing all over the garden even though I followed the instructions correctly.
