5.0 out of 5 stars Outdated theory?, November 13, 2008

This review is from: Catastrophe Theory: Selected Papers, 1972-77 (Paperback)
I gather that catastrophe theory is considered to be outdated, or trivial, or wrong, by a segment of the math community. Nevertheless, I found the exposition on anorexia nervosa to be highly illuminating. Zeeman is a writer who can make subjects comprehensible without excess jargon, at least for those who have some familiarity with the concept of spaces which have dimensions that are not just the usual space and time ones.
