Learn how to go surfing with age advantaged, July 21, 2000
This review is from: Catch the Age Wave: A Handbook for Effective Ministry with Senior Adults (Paperback)
This book is an easy read that will get you to expand your thinking about this quiet group of people. I was a youth worker in a church and this book helped me get the older people of the church involved and excited by helping me relate their generation to my generation. I have spoken at seniors groups with this being the basis and they greatly appreciated the author's insights. This book really helped the younger leaders connect to the older people. It has great ideas in it. I have highly recommended this book to many that I work with from other churches. It was well worth the very valuable time that I have to read and study this book.

This is the book you want to read before you get there yourself, August 9, 2005
This review is from: Catch the Age Wave: A Handbook for Effective Ministry with Senior Adults (Paperback)
Excellent insights to the hopes, fears, realities of the wonderful group of people known as " seniors". Omit this book and you won't discover the things which motivate, hinder and blend the senior into a genuine contributor in your congregation. I'm glad I read this book as it threw wide the doors of mis-information and genuinely gave me a different focus.

Great for Program Design, August 31, 2008
This review is from: Catch the Age Wave: A Handbook for Effective Ministry with Senior Adults (Paperback)
"Catch the Age Wave" is a good book for evaluating and then structuring one's church or ministry programming. The material is not new, but it does provide the reader with insights in how to evaluate what is currently being done. This is essential if leaders and ministry professionals are to understand working across generations. Recommended as a starting place for leaders and professionals who are considering how their churches will function within the shifting wave of generations.
