More About the Author

She stimulates more than your heart!

Best-selling author Brianna Lee McKenzie was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. She spent many childhood summers listening to Grandma Ruby tell stories of her adventurous life. In elementary school, Brianna began writing stories of her own, winning several awards. Now, she enjoys writing poetry, short stories, novels and children's books. Her western romance "Catch a Shooting Star" was on the Amazon best-seller list. Most recently, she began writing screenplays. Her short script "Emoticon" was optioned for filming. Her feature screenplay "L'Inked" is an adaptation of her thriller novel of the same name.

She chose her pen name as a tribute to her son, who was tragically killed in a house fire. Read the full story here:http://briannaleemckenzie.blogspot.com/2012/04/becoming-brianna.html

A recent comment about her writing ability was posted on a sample of "L'Inked" on her blog: "Your writing is real. I felt as if I was there. Congratulations on your ability to take the reader where you want them to go. Whew!" Read some of her work here: http://briannaleemckenzie.blogspot.com

Brianna lives on the Chesapeake Bay where she finds inspiration in the magnificent sunsets and the romantic gestures of her husband. Her ultimate goal is to make her family proud of her accomplishments. Selling books is just a blissful bi-product.

This was a very good book. The author was able to incorporate many different aspects yet kept the story on track. I enjoyed the strength of the heroine to save her son and the hero's lesson he learned about revenge. Will look for more by this author.

This is a great book to read and I had hard time putting it down. I'm a huge fan romance books and this book is unique and lots of fun to read. I admire Savannah Star's passion for justice and the character of Travis was right on for this genre. Don Diego Fernandez is what you expect with a name like "El Diablo"! 5-star...must read. You will enjoy this ride.

This story has many layers of plot for a romance. Opening with the end of the Civil War, Savannah's home and soul are ravaged. Obedient to her father's direction, she marries to save the family inheritance never realizing she is but a pawn. Travis has a chance encounter with her, but his focus is getting revenge on her new husband. Travis has a past that haunts him, but eventually resolution of those problems lead him to join forces with Savannah so they can put their demons to rest.

Through a narrative voice, this budding author creates strong characters that you will remember. Meet Tito, El Diablo and little Hannah, just to name a few. I'm looking forward to following this author writing journey as she shows great promise in becoming a polished story teller.
