4.0 out of 5 stars VERY EASY, but positive
We haven't had much luck with some of the other baseball books we have tried this year. The Peach Street Mudders series is upbeat and positive, but a bit too easy.

"The Catcher's Mask" has Rudy finding a catcher's mask at a garage sale -- one with the initials YB on it. Yogi Berra? He reads up on Yogi and his game improves dramatically as he learns how...

3.0 out of 5 stars This is a interesting book for young sport enthusiasts.
This book is a simplistic book for those young children who are interested in sports, especially baseball. I, as a teacher, used this book for my young men who were not interested in the other available reading material.

4.0 out of 5 stars VERY EASY, but positive, September 13, 2010
This review is from: The Catcher's Mask: A Peach Street Mudders Story (Hardcover)
We haven't had much luck with some of the other baseball books we have tried this year. The Peach Street Mudders series is upbeat and positive, but a bit too easy.

"The Catcher's Mask" has Rudy finding a catcher's mask at a garage sale -- one with the initials YB on it. Yogi Berra? He reads up on Yogi and his game improves dramatically as he learns how important the catcher is to the team.

60 pages, this is a good series for after step readers. No bad language, positive role models, boys finding inner strength and courage.

Not bad.
