Although this "study guide" has handy thumbnail portraits of major characters and a synopsis of each chapter, it's poorly executed.

The character guide is full of spoilers, so it has little value while reading the book.

The text is full of typos, misspellings, and badly constructed sentences, and the lack of proofreading is especially annoying because the Hunger Games series shows such careful attention to these details.

Again with my 10 star rating system, I would give this a 7/10. (Spoilers!) There was another trip to the games, with Katniss and Peeta having to go back. This time though, Katniss was... limpy, for want of a better word. There was a "clock" on the island so every hour or so another horrible thing would happen. The clock was kind of confusing; why even put it in there? The games itself have horrible things happening. No clock is needed. Not as great as the first book I thought.

Bought this book as a supplement for my son. He is not the best reader and it helped him with some details.

My bad, thought I was buying the book. I will probably never use it, but you never know. Might send it to someone who has read the full book.

Not Book One
Yes, some of the ends are tied into neat bundles, but it's not as satisfactory a read. Clever tactics, but too much "cleverness" and too much of the same: been there, done that feeling.

this book was the same as book three. I was very disappointed with it but since I had already read book one of the Hunger Games it was okay to just read a synopsis. I had no way of knowing it would be only short paages of what should have been an entire book.

This was a new experience for a game. All the contestants are pitted against each other or they must form a team to help each other. Some parts were very interesting as to how they killed each other. Great show.
