5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Catcher Resource, April 30, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
It is not clear in the book description but this book comes with the Bob Bennet DVD!

This has been an excellent learning resource for me the coach as I try to teach my son Catching fundamentals. The DVD has been a great tool for my son, kids today are all visual. His moves behind the plate have become much better and the pass balls fewer.

5.0 out of 5 stars #1 CATCHER's choice, March 2, 2009
My son will be going into high school next year. Since catching is by far the most demanding position and only the best players are still playing ball at this level, there is no shortage of catchers. Even at 14u there seem to be about 4 catchers per team.
We have been to numerous training camps and sought every resource on catching out there but nothing we've found so far makes any more sense than this video. Others have tried to change the mechanics to the point that it's like learning a new sport but Bennett's explanations illicit the same response as a V8. Take it a chapter at a time or by the end of the last lesson, your forehead will feel like you were featured in Smack Down!

BTW, buy the booklet. It should come with the DVD and it's CHEAPER than the DVD alone!

This is a great book for catchers new to the position and would also give tips to those who have played catcher for years!! I highly recommend this book for those who want to learn how to play catcher and those looking for tips on playing the position.
