5.0 out of 5 stars Didn't Want To Put It Down April 3, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I have all of Samantha Chase books and thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of them. Her latest book, Catering to the CEO, is excellent. I started reading it this morning and was upset when I realized I had an appointment and had to put the book down. So, I took the book with me and continued reading it while I was waiting. I loved Adam and Cassie together. I didn't want the book to end. I am, hopefully, looking forward to a sequel.

Keep them coming Miss Chase........

3.0 out of 5 stars Inaccurate April 21, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I loved the story, don't get me wrong. But the author clearly does not have real life knowledge of Endometriosis or Laparoscopic Surgery- which plays a large roll in what the female lead is going through during the story.
Yes, all the medical stuff you can find on the internet says you can be back to normal activities within a week- well sex is not one of those, and more commonly it's about a 2-4 week recovery. I had a REALLY hard time disconnecting what I know from what the story was trying to portray. Really wish she'd have done a bit more asking around and research into what is a reality for a lot of women.

5.0 out of 5 stars I liked it... It's a ROMANCE for goodness sake! April 24, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Let's be honest, if you're reading this book it's because you have certain expectations of a romance novel. HEA is a must, at least for me. I REALLY enjoyed this story, fast paced, good dialogue... a couple with some history, albeit a work based history that changes. It works. I was invested in the story, I'm hoping to see more of the siblings. Cassie and Adam were a couple that were pretty well fleshed out. Cassie's siblings were given just enough to intrigue, and hope that we'll see some sequels in the near future. This Indie Author wrote a great book, I'll buy her stuff in the future! If you're a fan of Kate Perry (another fantastic indie Author!) you will enjoy this book... I recommend it, and I'll read it again!

5.0 out of 5 stars Samantha Does It Again! April 19, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have found a new love for the Amazon Kindle app on my phone because of Samantha Chase's stories. I've followed her since Jordan's Return and because of the Kindle app I'm able to read her stories just about anywhere. I'm truly excited about her next book. Make sure you check out CATERING TO THE CEO. Adam is the type of person you want to hate, but can help loving.

Way to go Samantha! Keep 'em coming!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Read July 3, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
Lately I've been reading a CEO box set that I purchased and have had bad luck with the first two books. This being the third book, I started this read with fairly low expectations. This book taught me to not judge a book by the rest of it's box set! Quickly into the book, I read a single point of dialogue that made me second guess my expectations.

"Please, the great Adam Lawrence does not apologize to anyone. You'd have better luck parting the Red Sea using your lipstick."

I just cracked up laughing. There's many small gems of great humour spaced out in this book. It was enough to make me laugh without making me feel like the book was overly cheesy from excess humour. The humour, romance and conflict were delicately balanced to create a fantastic story between two stubborn main characters.

The main aspect of this story that made it stand apart from many of the other CEO style romances that I've read is that the main heroine, Cassie, is a complete firecracker. Every time the hero (Adam) gave her a hard time, she threw it right back at him in spades. She is a strong and worthy adversary to Adam's sense of control in his life.

Adam is a bitter man, scorned from his father. Like many CEOs (at least in books), he doesn't believe in love. Cassie melts his heart by challenging him to be a better man without outright trying to change him. The change in him is gradual as his heart melts.

The one part that I felt I was going to have problems with was handled so completely well by the author that instead I want to mention it as a fantastic Kudos to the author's writing.

2.0 out of 5 stars Unlikable Hero August 25, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This book was in a bundle I bought for $.99. I have to say it wasn't good, nor worth the price.
The "hero" was unlikeable for 98% of the book. I wonder if he was supposed to be bipolar or something. Aside from one lame attempt, there was never a real excuse for why he acted like a complete jerk to EVERYONE, including his mother. Cassie wasn't a bad heroine, but I found it hard to like her because she kept going back to him.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oil and Vineger Love July 21, 2013
By Gfaith
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I loved this book. The complexity of the main character, Adam was so intriguing that I took out my psychoanalyist hat after his second or third personality change. He is the Vineger.

Cassander the hardworking caterer and event planner, finds herself, as the story initially begins, deciding that she had enough of this insanely volital and toxic business relationship with and even through his is, at this point, her bread-and-butter account. She is the Oil.

It is exciting to read how their relationship takes on these volital and soft changes due to personal issues Adam brings to this mix. Loved the texture woven in this East and West.....and never the twine shall meet story. But as we all know, Oil and Vineger make for a tasty dressing. The romance was spicey...humm I loved it. A must read. Bravo!

Cassandra's and Adams journey was beautiful and painful at the same time. Although our past shapes us it doesn't have to effect our present and our future.

3.0 out of 5 stars sweet and a bit predictable
It was a cute story. A bit unbelievable in how it all starts off. But a cute and sweet story. It's told from the protagonists POV so most other characters are not explored. Read more

More About the Author

New York Times and USA Today Bestseller/contemporary romance writer Samantha Chase released her debut novel, Jordan's Return, in November 2011. Although she waited until she was in her 40's to publish for the first time, writing has been a lifelong passion. Her motivation to take that step was her students: teaching creative writing to elementary age students all the way up through high school and encouraging those students to follow their writing dreams gave Samantha the confidence to take that step as well.

Her second book, a holiday novella titled "The Christmas Cottage" hit #10 on Amazon's Overall Best Seller List on Christmas Eve. It was a great Christmas gift! Watching the numbers rise and fall is a daily roller coaster ride but definitely an exciting one! And on February 25th, she released the follow up novella - "Ever After".

In March 2013, "The Christmas Cottage" was nominated for two Indie Romance Convention Award - Best Indie Romance Novella and Best Indie Contemporary Romance while Samantha was nominated for Indie Author of the Year! In August 2013, the video trailer for "Wait for Me" won an Oscar for Indie Author Book Trailer!

More titles quickly followed: "Catering to the CEO", "Wait for Me" (Montgomery Brothers book 1), "Trust in Me" (Montgomery Brothers book 2), "In the Eye of the Storm", and "Stay With Me" (Montgomery Brothers book 3) which hit the USA Today bestseller list upon it's debut. "Catering to the CEO" was included in the romance bundle "Loving the CEO" - a five-book package - that made the New York Times and the USA Today Bestseller list.

When she's not working on a new story, she spends her time reading contemporary romances, blogging, playing way too many games of Scrabble on Facebook and spending time with her husband of 24 years and their two sons in North Carolina.
