It was humiliating! How could caterer Sophie Westbrook ever face the sexy Italian hotel tycoon again after the way she'd practically thrown herself at him six years earlier...and ended up in his bed? Yet here she was back in his hotel wearing only a G-string and a smile.

Maximus Rinaldi is not pleased to find a half-naked exotic dancer in the middle of his business meeting...until he discovers she's the mystery woman he shared one unbelievable night with years ago. Max is determined to win her back into his bed, but Sophie has a secret that might just turn the sexy Italian playboy's life upside down!

1.0 out of 5 stars Sorry I couldn't give it 1STAR November 14, 2012

storyline: average. heroine: childish, childish, childish. Why would u cut your vacation short to go home to a father you decided u wanted to have no contact with? I found myself skipping pages to go to the end. Did I mention that the heroine is childish. I am so sorry I pd 0.99 for this. This was truly a waste of time and money. SMH.

2.0 out of 5 stars It is not good, not bad either. September 13, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The synopsis did its job and now I finished the novel feeling empty. What just happened? The pacing was fast, there was no build-up. The conflict or conflicts are presented right from the start which is good until it was repeated over and over inside the heads of the main characters in the middle that I wanted to stop reading. There was no climax and the resolution just popped in the end and then it ended. Author could have included the scene when Max and Sophie told Alex that Max is his father. Isn't that one of Sophie dilemmas? And then there is no reconciliation between daughter and father. Plus Max wasn't able to let go of his past. It was also hilarious how he suddenly realized that he loved her. Too many repetitive words and descriptions but at least, grammar and spelling were almost flawless. I like Fiona's character though.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun and easy read May 17, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book is an easy read for the summer. Perfect beach read material. The story is mostly lightheartedly with just enough angst to bond the two main characters. There was not much depth to the story or intensity to the emotions so if you are looking for a book that pulls you in and doesn't let you go, this one is not it. However, if you are interested in a quick escape into a fun adventure- this is the perfect read.

Enjoy!

"It was humiliating! How could caterer Sophie Westbrook ever face the sexy Italian hotel tycoon again after the way she’d practically thrown herself at him six years earlier…and ended up in his bed? Yet here she was back in his hotel wearing only a G-string and a smile.

In many ways, this is a cute tale. The first chapter had me laughing so hard at the comedy of errors. I enjoyed it. There were many such pleasurable moments.

When we start to read a romance novel, we know how it is going to end. Our Heroine and Our Hero will overcome the obstacles that keep them apart, declare their love for each other and at the very least get engaged if not married. That's what happens in this story. Except it felt rushed.

In the back story, Our Heroine has a one night stand with a gorgeous man. She does this to make herself feel better about her mother's death. Not sure that would be an effective cure but maybe that's what she had to tell herself to convince herself to have Our Hero. She gets pregnant and doesn't tell Our Hero because she has Daddy Issues of her own. What those are, we don't know until almost the end of the story. But due to her Daddy Issues, she is going to make it on her own, refusing to do the right thing and tell her baby's father.

Our Hero has his issues. He was abandoned at an orphanage when he was 2 years. I find it implausible that he was not adopted.

This was a fun, exciting, and fast-paced book. Sophie was a likeable character that I could really connected with. She was spunky and fun with lots of great comebacks. Max, well, what can I say about that hot, sexy Italian. He's every girls dream guy!

1.0 out of 5 stars Poorly Edited February 14, 2012

I probably would have liked this book if I could have gotten past all the punctuation and grammatical errors. I think the author is probably a good storyteller, but definitely needs a good editor.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute book February 16, 2012

This book had a great story line. The only thing really missing was a lot of details. I like books that you follow the whole story and this one would leave out details that make you love it.

More About the Author

Tamelia Tumlin sold her first story to Dogwood Tales Magazine many years ago while taking a creative writing course in college. The short story titled "The Traveler" was the feature story for that edition. After graduating college in elementary education, life, a teaching career and a wonderful son consumed most of her time. However, in the past couple of years, the yearning to pen fabulous romantic tales of to-die-for heroes and spirited heroines has taken over. Ms. Tumlin has worked with several online publishers, but she is now writing for Steel Magnolia Press. Juggling motherhood, teaching and writing is a challenge, but one she welcomes to pursue her passion. Her novels range from sweet and sassy to dark and dangerous.
