Besides having over fifteen years of "hands-on" experience managing his family's catering business in Chicago, Mike has a Masters Degree in Education. I have been in the business for over 15 years and have not seen a better written book for caterers. Do you want to learn how to sell, market and run a profitable catering company? Then this is the book for you. I have added ($) to my bottom line this year and I just got the book in March 2001! If your a caterer or thinking of becoming one.......THIS BOOK IS A MUST HAVE!

Michael Roman's new book, "Catering: The Art, Science and Mystery" deserves more than the maximum allowable 5 stars. This is a very well written book. I've been in the catering business for over 12 years and I've attended many of Roman's catering seminars, and I'm still amazed at how much new information is contained in this book. Roman seems to understand that catering is not only a means to making a living, but also a passion for many people. If you only read one book on catering, read this one.
