I am a huge fan of Melissa & Doug products and this did not disappoint! My 6 mo old LOVES this thing. He can twist and twirl it and he especially likes to chew on the 'antennae'. When given a selection, he usually picks this toy out of the pile. It's extremely well made (as are all of their things) and is something that can easily be passed down. Love it!

Our 8 month old stole this from another baby in her playgroup and was enthralled (and drooling) for a good 5 minutes straight (that's a long time when you're a baby). So we ordered one. Great price, good quality. She likes the elastic antennae more than anything else at this stage, but it seems like a toy that will grow with her.

My son is 10monts and does like this toy.
The colors and shapes are fasinating to him. He particularly likes to chew on the "feelers". He really likes the toy, which is why it gets 3 stars. To change shapes you have to pull the links apart and rotate the body around the elastic cords running through the toy. This action is still a bit advanced for my kid. So instead of it helping him with dexterity it has become a "pick up and throw" toy as well as a teether. Some dents from his teeth are starting to show and he's only had it 2 weeks. If the paint starts to chip it will have to go away. I'm disapointed since this is my first Melissa & Doug toy and I had heard such good things about their toys.
