Horrible buy!, January 20, 2010

This review is from: Caterpillar 15" CAT Heavy Duty Worker fork Lift L&S Motorized (Toy)
My son got this toy for Christmas this year and by Christmas night it wasn't working. The forward and reverse stopped working and the leaver for the fork lift to go up and down broke. Very poor quality toy!

Cute but complete waste of money, December 31, 2009

My husband bought this for our 2 1/2 year old son for Christmas. While it is really cute and our son loves it for the sounds it makes,
the fork going up and down and the movement forward and backwards, it didn't last 3 days. It has already stopped
the forward and backward motion. And I would not say that it has been handled roughly. If it can't handle 3 days
worth of light play from a toddler then it's very poorly built. Great idea, sounds and appearance but the electronic
side of it needs lots of work. An absolute waste of money.

Great Imaginative Play, December 24, 2009

I read the previous review and was astounded at the poor review. I bought this toy for my 3 1/2 year old son b/c he is afraid of fork lifts in the store. It has been great for him to hear the sounds, and lights like in the store but on a smaller scale. As for it not being metal and durable enough to take a pounding with heavy play, no it is not that kind of toy. Whatever happened to teaching kids to respect what they own? This toy is not intended for rough play, and I imagine if it were made of metal it would be harder to push around. The plastic is durable enough that it does not fall apart. Also, this toy is not intended to be an outdoor toy. I think the expectations of the previous rater was not realistic. My son enjoys playing with it. I would recommend it and buy it again, although I spent only 29.00 + tax at Toys R Us.
