The Caterpillar Akon is a casual boot, meaning it doesn't necessarily conform to any of the standards that work boots are set up for. However, the boot is extremely comfortable; I even wore them with low-rise socks (ankle socks?) and found it to not be bothersome at all. It's very well padded and ventilated, and feels almost exactly like an athletic shoe. It's not nearly as heavy (although it doesn't have steel toes or shanks) as a typical boot. Grip is great on almost every surface unless you're on waxed tile with wet shoes.Comfortable, relatively lightweight, fashionable (for a CAT boot), and well priced.

After using multiple boots from different companies, including Danner, Bates, and Harley Davidson... I was looking for a boot that was rugged yet also practical and comfortable. The Caterpillar Akon Lace-Up Boot is it! I will definitely be ordering another pair soon just to have for future use. These boots are comfortable for all day wear. Just like the item description says, they are also not excessively bulky so you can run in them should you need to. |
