These are the nicest athletic or outdoor shoes I've gotten in quite a while. They are extremely comfortable out of the box, providing support via their shape instead of being stuffed with foam rubber. They're a great match for walking or hiking, and they are one of my standard pairs now when I travel. There seems to be some kind of springy piece in the center of the heel area, which provides good cushioning as well as additional heel support.

The sole is covered with small nubbins about 4 or 5 millimeters across - one of the pictures shows them. They provide outstanding traction in just about any condition you can name. They will get small rocks or seeds in between the nubbins on occasion - I have grown accustomed to removing hackberry seeds from mine after spending time outside.

They look good. The Cat logo is very subdued. The ventilation holes double as good looking decorations and I think even help give the upper some additional flex.

Even though they are Caterpillar brand, they're made by Wolverine, which also makes several other premium shoe brands, such as Patagonia.

As with just about every other shoe I've gotten in the last ten years, they have nylon shoelaces that have a tendency to come untied. I guess such laces wear better, and are probably cheaper than pure cotton laces. Personally, my advice to premium brand manufacturers would be to charge a bit more and perhaps include a spare pair of laces so that the darn things stay tied. That problem was solved a couple of hundred years ago, and it seems silly to go backwards to shoes that I have to tie all the time.

But given that all shoes seem to have the same problem, I won't take away a star for that. After three months of wearing these, I like them enough to give them a very high recommendation.

I received these shoes today and boy are they comfortable. These go great with Khakis as well as jeans. The quality of these shoes are astounding and I can really feel them gripping the ground. I plan on buying a few more pairs of these shoes in the near future.

I can share my 2-week experience of wearing these wonderful shoes. I've walked in them alone flat surfaces (like pavement) as well as across rough terrain (forest, sandy roads) - equally comfy and safe walking. Abundant nubbins all over the rubber sole provide good traction and specific shuffling sound (got used to it in a day or two). Have walked under the rain - no problems revealed. The only problem (or care) - small rocks and twigs easily dig into the sole between nubbins - so the habit to take care of your shoes appears on its own account ;)

Out of the box, I wore these shoes for 8 hours walking on cement floors without any problem. The shoes look good, size is dead on and I,ll be ordering more shoes from Caterpillar.

Let me say I love these shoes. I loved them the moment I first saw them and sought them out. Amazon's price couldn't be beat so it was an early Christmas present for myself. When I got them I was disappointed the laces are a different tone of black than the shoe, which hurts the look in my opinion, but can be fixed by purchasing a different pair of laces. (That seems a bit silly for brand new shoes, but I bought these for the look so wth.)
Fit seems pretty good, but they walk a bit stiff on hard surfaces. The weird nubs on the sole (which are part of the look that compelled me to buy them) probably don't help, but after a bit of a break-in, you get used to it. Oh, and they look SO cool.
But... I found after wearing them a few days my left arch hurt all the time. Even when not wearing the shoes. It took 5 days or so after I quit wearing them for the pain to stop. After that time I wore them again and in half a day, the pain was back. I don't have problem feet and have never had an issue like this with any shoe of any type before. I have a desk job, so I don't spend all day on my feet - just walking around the office causes the pain. The shoes don't feel bad on and nothing feels wrong, so I'm exchanging and hoping I just got a bad shoe.
Other than this problem, the quality seems good, the styling is nice and they seem to perform well. I would buy again (and probably will in another color) if my exchanged pair fixes the arch problem.

This shoes are very comfortable to use and the size is correct, be confidence to buy your true size. The only cons from this product but it wasn't the product fault is that they look big, they look weird with casual pants, I usually use this shoes with cargo or short pants.

Classy and durable. They aren't the most comfy shoes, but they are perfect for maintaining a professional look on a not so professional job site.

Just got these shoes and so far, I love them.... I was nervous ordering shoes online, but the size was just right, the color is as pictured, they fit great, they are very comfortable, and they look great with casual wear or sports wear. Very excited about this online purchase.

Just say that a shoe is one color and the other pair of a different color!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
