5.0 out of 5 stars A VERY GOOD HEADLIGHT
This is a rechargeable headlight. It uses internal batteries of NiMH. They are specific batteries for this headlight. The life of each charge is about 2 hours if we have the light at high power or 6 hours if it is at low power.

This is a headlight of high quality. It has a LED bulb. This kind of light is the more efficient as to the ratio of power to battery...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the price.
The light is fairly bright, nothing spectacular, but bright enough for Chicago commuting. I read many negative reviews about the bracket, however my main issue lies with the extremely cheap and flimsy plastic casing. I have never dropped the light (though I believe a light costing approximately 100 bucks should hold up against a 3-4 foot fall without any issues), but the...

The light is fairly bright, nothing spectacular, but bright enough for Chicago commuting. I read many negative reviews about the bracket, however my main issue lies with the extremely cheap and flimsy plastic casing. I have never dropped the light (though I believe a light costing approximately 100 bucks should hold up against a 3-4 foot fall without any issues), but the the casing cracked in my backpack. I always try to be careful with my backpack for I keep my sunglasses, graphing calculator, cell phone, and mp3 player in the bag, and they have not sustained any damage. The battery takes a long time to recharge, and its an all around bad buy. I would not recommend this light to anyone.

This is a headlight of high quality. It has a LED bulb. This kind of light is the more efficient as to the ratio of power to battery consumption.

Their light is very powerfull. If it is well placed, it can light up 15 yards ahead. It is quite a lot for a bike.

Moreover, it is worth emphasizing the high quality of their lighting. It gives a very smooth light.

The only drawback is its price, that is a bit expensive, about $125 . This price includes the batteries and the charger.

But for somebody (like me) who usually go with the bike in the night through roads without any illumination, it is indispensable a high quality headlight like this.

4.0 out of 5 stars CatEye, November 16, 2011

Works great one it's charged, however the charger sucks and takes FOREVER!

The little red light on the charger keeps coming on and then it stops charging so you have to keep resetting it.

4.0 out of 5 stars compact and bright, February 8, 2010

This little light is small and effective for in-town use. Battery endurance is good and it's easy to plug in the charger while you leave the light on the handlebars. It doesn't weight much, and is much less massive than the Cateye models that use four AA cells. A word of warning - if you use it in the flashing or low-power mode, the modulation can send spurious signals to your wireless computer and you can find yourself indicating 72 mph while sitting still. If you use a wired computer, or if you always use it in high power / bright mode, it's not a problem.

It's really hard to review this product, it does everything that cat-eye says on their website. It is extremely bright, it burns out in 2 hours on high setting, it is water resistant (I've ridden with it in the rain). One thing I noticed was the screw fell out of the mount, my LBS gave me a new one, but it's irritating to lose it.
