Love It,

After I got married, I started cooking and accumulating recipes. I needed a way to get organized! This recipe organizer was just the thing I needed. Since is basically a glorified three ring binder, I am able to print recipes off the internet and just put them under the appropriate tab. Each tab is also a folder for random recipes that you cut out or find. It is a great product that I would definitely recommend. After seeing mine, my mom asked me for one. It would be an excellent wedding gift.

First, beautiful! Second, actual size of a standard 3-ring binder is a Big Big plus!
I am a highly organized person, so I am having a great time moving all of my recipes from my old recipe binder to this lovely new one. I have long been a fan of this recipe method. I believe in clutter-free efficiency wherever possible. I do not keep stacks of unused cookbooks just because they were gifts or such. I also don't keep every recipe picked up in stores or clipped from magazines (magazines are for reading, then sharing by passing along to nursing homes or health clinic waiting rooms, not to save as dusty shrines). So, this system is perfect for keeping only those recipes that I will actually use and have them attractively displayed in an easy-to-access format. When I received this in the mail today I did add 3-hole punched page protectors immediately, as recommended. Also scanned and saved a copy of the recipe and shopping list pages for future needs. Cons: Not enough sections. "Misc" is to vague for all the categories that I am needing. In my old one I had breads, pasta, fish, poultry, meat in addition to the ones provided here. So I am still trying to make some arrangement decisions. I will be happily moving things around in here for days! Pros: The size is much better than my old "tall and narrow" version. Fits real size pages if you print from the internet or add clear protectors. It has a great coating for wiping off spills, but I think I will laminate the pockets anyway for extra longevity. I love the equivalency charts inside the cover. As much as I love the organization, its best Pro is that it is just so girly-girl pretty!

I was a bit disappointed with this organizer. Sleeves to hold recipe cards would have been a plus. I had hoped to be able to print out my recipes onto the pages provided, but no way to so. They have to be hand written to fit the format. Unless you are up to writing, not the organizer to create a "family" recipe gift book.

I Love this Organizer.,

I shopped long and hard for a recipe organizer that:
1) was a full-size binder, 2) had pockets for clipped recipes, and 3) was beautiful enough to feel like a home for the recipes I want to keep and pass down. This is the best I found. I made some alterations to optimize it for my purposes--I had a much longer list of substitutions I wanted to be able to reference, so I printed my own on an adhesive page and stuck it into the front with a condensed measure equivalents section. I also used a label-maker to re-name the dividers the way I wanted. Finally, I printed my own label for the front. Now it fits all my needs and I couldn't be happier with it.

What a great find!!!!! When I first find this on amazon, I didn't want to spend this much but this is more than a regular binder!!!!! I actually didn't place an order right away, instead, I went to Target and found a cute binder just like this. But there were no inserts, so I had to buy tabs, note pads, etc. I figured by the time I have all the things I want, it will be close to the same price and it wouldn't be as pretty as this one, so came home quickly and placed an order.
Inside the cover page, there are very convenient charts pre-printed, Dry Measure, Wet Measure, Substitutions and Bar Measurements. Inside the back cover, there are lists for Yields, Oven Temperature Conversions and Suggested Doneness Temperature. Came with 8 Tabs of Appetizers, Soups, Salads, Main Courses, Side Dishes, Desserts, Drinks and Misc. Also there are 48 pages of note pads that you can write your own recipe and 10 pages of shopping list (can separate 1 page to 4 lists, so there are total of 40 lists). I've cooked a little bit before but starting to collect recipes for the first time. This binder has everything I ask for. My friend suggested to buy a "recipe box" that to hold 3X5" cards, but I wanted to see the step-by-step instruction and do print out off of internet a lot. This binder holds all that. This could be a great wedding or birthday gift also.

I was so delighted with the look and layout of this recipe organizer. I purchased a cheap 3 hole punch and placed it right along with everything else for recipes I wanted to throw in. It's adorable and easy to use.

This is a great recipe book. I was looking for an organizer that would hold standard printer-sized pages as I was planning on printing out recipes which I had already typed. The paper that came with the organizer was lined, which, as another reviewer mentioned, makes it somewhat more difficult to print on. On each page is a two-sided design. On the first side, there is space for 2 small, half-page recipes. On the second side, there is space for 1 long, full-page recipe. After about 30 minutes experimenting on Microsoft Publisher, I was able to create two templates (one for each side) that print pefectly. I measured out where to place the text boxes, and how big they should be for each section (recipe title, from, ingredients and method...I left "notes" blank so I could handwrite these in later). The trickiest area to get right is "Methods". I used Californian font in size 14 for the "method" area, and set my line spacing within that box at 1.13 sp. As the "ingredients" section is not lined, it was very easy to put in a text box, and any font/font size can easily be chosen. I hope these little tips help. I wish there was a way I could just upload my templates to the site for anyone who wanted to use them, but haven't seen a way of doing that as of yet.

It comes with its own paper to write recipes down on, a perforated shopping list section, and folders. I can't wait to start organizing all of my recipes!

I always had recipes scattered about on pieces of paper or magazine scraps, now I have them all in one place and easy to access, and I never have to worry about losing a recipe or not being able to find that littel piece of paper, it's all there
