This review is from: Catharine Crozier plays Great Organ Works fo César Franck (Audio CD)
Truly a marvelous accomplishment before her death, Catherine Crozier Gleason captures the true beauty and essence of the great Frank organ works in this hidden masterpiece. The interpretation is very Franck and very French, along with wholly appropriate and near perfect registration. For an added bonus, we hear numerous examples of the dazzling versatility of the Great Marcussen Organ in Wichita State's Wiedemann Hall, the first to be built in North America by the reputable Danish firm. One of the finest jewels in the organ world, the Great Marcussen easily bows to all eras and regions of organ literature. In an amazing accomplishment we would expect from the notable Eastman heritage, Crozier masters the instrument to join her in a performance with which Franck would be most pleased. Definitely the best Franck organ collection I have found.
