Book Description

Catholic genealogical research has a depth unequaled by any other record group. The documents of the Catholic Church chronicle important events in the lives its members regardless of age, country of residence, or station in life. In many countries, sacramental registries served also as civil registration and can provide the key to uncovering otherwise impenetrable family mysteries. Lisa / Smallest Leaf’s Catholic Genealogy Legacy QuickGuide™ will help you to explore the lives of your Catholic ancestors. It features detailed descriptions of the types and value of sacramental records, introduces the researcher to many other often-overlooked documents, and provides information on where to find them. The guide also provides a timeline of Catholic records, a research strategy, links to online resources, an exhaustive list of books and periodicals on the topic of Catholic genealogy, and more.

Format:Kindle Edition
I love the Guide to Catholic Genealogy by Lisa. It features ways to find and explore Catholic records in pursuing your genealogy. In its Kindle format it is always available to consult on your android phone or tablet. Don't leave home with out it. I will also be downloading the Hungarian Guide.

More About the Author

Nationally award-winning poet and genealogy blogger honored twice by Family Tree Magazine. Learn more at smallestleaf.com.

"My name is Lisa but I use the pen name Smallest Leaf as I share the stories of the many colorful characters within my family tree. I am the author of several blogs: '100 Years in America' (about my Hungarian and Croatian roots), 'Small-leaved Shamrock', 'A Light That Shines Again', and 'Carnival of Irish Heritage and Culture' (which each focus on Irish heritage). I am also a contributing author to 'The Catholic Gene'. I have recently completed two guides published by Legacy Family Tree: one on Croatian genealogy and one on research using Catholic records. I hope to help bring others, particularly young people, to an understanding of their own place in history and inspire them to carry on the beloved traditions of the cultures in which their ancestry is rooted."
