The Catholic Prayer Bible, Lectio Divina Edition is a very valuable tool for anyone's faith journey! It causes one to really reflect upon the Bible, by putting themselves in as participants and wittnesses. I have a number of Bibles, but I must say that this is my favorite. I would love to get one with Giant Print. You will not regret purchasing this Bible. This is money well spent.

This bible is a great way to learn how to pray using the "Lectio Divina" or sacred readings method. The way that they step you through the four steps while reading the bible passage helps one to go into contemplation/meditation on the word of God. Since it uses the NRSV translation I would recommend it to anyone looking to come closer to God.

This Bible is excellent. It is not a study bible with dates and facts in the margin. There are many wonderful Bibles to meet this need. It is a Bible that does does its gentle work through the heart not only through the head. It first provides a summary of a passage, then a reflection, prayer, and an action. This is a deeply meaningful way to put scripture into practice.
