Where Are They?
on February 7, 2011
In an attempt to cover the most important pilgrimage sites in Europe,
the Author divided his work into two volumes one covering Central and
Eastern Europe and the other Western Europe. In spite of these demarcations,
this volume lacks several important Monasteries.
While Wright failed to mention the Abbey of Saint Maurice, Church
of Saint Nicholas Flue (Switzerland's First Saint)and Saint Verena, he
included the Great Saint Bernard Pass.It is only famous for the Dogs
but even the canines are no longer there except in Summer.
The following appeared nowhere in this book. Our Lady of Hal, Belgium
Our Lady of Good Counsel at Gennanzano, Saint Lucy in Venice,Saint Nicholas
in Bari, and Saint Januarius in Naples!
