Catholic Social Teaching
This book provides an excellent recap of the encyclicals and the important paragraphs listed therein. It gave me a concise summary so I would be knowledgeable about he document before I began reading it.

Laced with Modernist Heresy
The book is well written, and it does contain much that is commendable. However, as with much of the post Vatican II Catholic church, it is rife with the Modernist heresy (yes, it was formally declared to be heresy -- indeed, the synthesis of all heresies) and the faint stench of Marxist liberation theology is discernable. Pre Vatican II this would have been branded...

Pre Vatican II this would have been branded heretical; post Vatican II, it may even be considered somewhat conservative in some circles.
