4.0 out of 5 stars Great Resource, January 19, 2000

This book was recommended to me by a recently divorced lady who knew that I was preparing to start a "Divorce Care" support group at my church -- an independant Christian church. I found it to be an excellent book with many comforting thoughts and practical suggestions for those experiencing the tragedy of divorce. The book is clearly of great value to non-Catholics as well as Catholics. It is sprinkled with useful scriptural references but contains only minimal information which would be useful to Catholics only, i.e., some brief comments on the annulment process as practiced by the Catholic Church and an example of the value of confession as relates to the person's role in a failed marriage. Of particular value are guidelines for consideration when considering remarriage.

5.0 out of 5 stars Someone Recognizes Catholics DO Divorce, November 8, 2002
By A Customer
Sure, pedophilia and the Catholic Church are big news, but as a divorced Catholic for over 20 years, there's another insidious "silence" and that is: What do you do when you are divorced, Catholic and -- to be a continuing part of your religious community -- you are asked to annul your marriage? This book blows away the fears, the misconceptions about divorce and being Catholic. I love them.

This review is from: Catholics Experiencing Divorce: Grieving, Healing, and Learning to Live Again, Revised Edition (Paperback)
Since becoming divorced I have found so much wonderful helpful books to be available. This book goes right on along with most of them. To find a book that deals with such an overwhelming emotional ride and have that be presented to you at a Catholic approach is great. The book is simple and I considered it an uplifting read.
