This book is okay as cat behavior books go, there are many better ones out now. There is nothing really special about this one and definately not worth trying to get if it's now out of print. It did have some good info on multiple cat households and introducing new arrivals, and dealing with the current (and often older) cats' behavior, as well as some good info on dogs and cats in the household, adding puppies and so on, but overall the author focused too much on and used way too many examples of her own cats, which is fine in small amounts, but her cats don't do anything mine do, so that was no help. It was pleasant enough to read and might be good in conjunction with other cat behavior books, but not on it's own, IMHO. I actually think I loaned my copy out and never got it back, funny since I don't seem to miss it....Oh well, take "Cats on the Couch" with a grain of salt and then go for Delbert Carlson's "Cat Owner Home Vet Handbook" or "Is Your Cat Crazy" by John Wright, both excellent cat behavioral/health books available here on Amazon.com :-)
