Highly recommended!, February 4, 2000

My favorite cut is the ballad, "Tell Me Lies." What a beautiful song of love and hope. As a former music student, and a lover of movie soundtracks, I couldn't help but notice how great this one was! It will keep you swinging! I was simply amazed at how well Scott Bakula sings! I was never Quantum Leap fan, but this forced me re-evaluate my opinion of Mr. Bakula.

Music that warms the heart and soul, September 12, 2002
This review is from: Cats Don't Dance (1997 Film) (Audio CD)
The soundtrack of the movie is absolutely wonderful! The music is written and performed in a style reninescent of the jazz age, but with a new age style sprinkled throughout. Tell Me Lies is a georgeous piece that stirs the soul. Our Time Has Come is a fantastic song about overcoming the odds, and rising to the top, being in the spotlight. While listening to this music, the lyrics continue to roll around in your head:
Our time has come
We're gonna walk in the sun,
And you and I are ready to roll,
We're on our way.
With a little faith we can
Step from the shadows, and
Tell everyone turn the spotlight on
Now our time has come.
This soundtrack is very positive, and very hard to find anywhere but here (I've looked in all the major stores). I strongly recommend this CD. Enjoy the music!

I'm a huge fan of the movie and it was no surprise that I love this soundtrack! My personal favorite track is "Tell Me Lies" performed by Natalie Cole, but every track (including the BGM) is fun to listen to, especially as a huge CDD fan who can remember their favorite parts from the movie listening to it!
