5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended!
My favorite cut is the ballad, "Tell Me Lies." What a beautiful song of love and hope. As a former music student, and a lover of movie soundtracks, I couldn't help but notice how great this one was! It will keep you swinging! I was simply amazed at how well Scott Bakula sings! I was never Quantum Leap fan, but this forced me re-evaluate my opinion of Mr...

3.0 out of 5 stars I think that the album is good except for Darla Dimples song
I have this on CD and I think that it is good. I like the following songs.

Our time has come
tell me lies
Animal Jam
Our Time Has come (Repraise)

most of the album is a feel good type of album... The tunes for Darla seem to be overpowering at best. I think that this CD should be re released for new fans of the film to discover....

5.0 out of 5 stars Music that warms the heart and soul, September 12, 2002
This review is from: Cats Don't Dance (1997 Film) (Audio CD)
The soundtrack of the movie is absolutely wonderful! The music is written and performed in a style reninescent of the jazz age, but with a new age style sprinkled throughout. Tell Me Lies is a georgeous piece that stirs the soul. Our Time Has Come is a fantastic song about overcoming the odds, and rising to the top, being in the spotlight. While listening to this music, the lyrics continue to roll around in your head:
Our time has come
We're gonna walk in the sun,
And you and I are ready to roll,
We're on our way.
With a little faith we can
Step from the shadows, and
Tell everyone turn the spotlight on
Now our time has come.
This soundtrack is very positive, and very hard to find anywhere but here (I've looked in all the major stores). I strongly recommend this CD. Enjoy the music!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great CD that everyone can enjoy!!!, April 13, 1999

This review is from: Cats Don't Dance (1997 Film) (Audio CD)
I'm a huge fan of the movie and it was no surprise that I love this soundtrack! My personal favorite track is "Tell Me Lies" performed by Natalie Cole, but every track (including the BGM) is fun to listen to, especially as a huge CDD fan who can remember their favorite parts from the movie listening to it!

If you enjoyed the film "Cat's Dont Dance" then you'll REALLY enjoy this soundtrack featuring Natalie Cole, James Ingram, and Carnie Wilson. The music is just superb and couldn't get any better than it already is. I really enjoyed listening to it and recommend it to EVERYONE!!!!! Take my advice, it's a great CD.

This is my alltime favourite soundtrack, the songs have that feel-good factor. my favourite song on the track is "nothings gonna stop us now" by natalie cole. this song really makes you feel like singing along. The movie would definitely be nowhere near as good without this amazing soundtrack!

it's amazing the lyrics of the song named Tell me lies performed by Natalie Cole, but the most amazing thing is to hear Scott Bakula as a cat named Danny. If you like Quantum leap's actor singing your c.d. collection is not complete without this!!! (Angela Kocybakulawska

5.0 out of 5 stars An awesome and long awaited child hood treasure!, October 30, 2011

This review is from: Cats Don't Dance (1997 Film) (Audio CD)
I love this movie! It is such an underrated animated classic. The soundtrack is absolutely amazing! It is worth whatever price is on it because it is such a rare treasure to find. I especially love both versions of Our Time Has Come, I Do Believe, Tell Me Lies, Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now, and Animal Jam and the instrumental scores are just out of this world! They don't even sound like they come from a kid's movie. I can feel the heart and soul in this music and I can tell blood, sweat, and tears were put into the making of this movie and it's awesome soundtrack. Buy it while you still can!

5.0 out of 5 stars BUY IT!!!!, June 6, 1999

A great soundtrack for such an underrated movie. I guess if an animated movie doesn't have the name Disney or Bluth next to it, it's considered bad from the start. But I LOVED the movie and I LOVE the soundtrack!!!
