This giant-size cutting board is awesome for all your fruit, vegetable, and pastry needs. Its hefty 23-1/2-inch length allows it to fit comfortably over the top of a sink, while the 3-inch-wide drain lets you quickly dispose of extra liquid or damaged lettuce leaves. As wood is porous, you shouldn't use it for raw meat--or place a plastic cutting mat on top of the board before you do. Wash with a liquid detergent, and give it a light coating of olive oil every so often to keep wood moisturized--not only will it last longer, but it helps prevent odor absorption as well. --Jill Lightner

Having recently moved for part of each year into an apartment with one heck of a small kitchen, my first focus was to make cooking less frustrating. I needed a place to chop and dice with comfort and ease.

This board fits over my sink (25" across overall with a 21"x16" opening) like a glove. It's sturdy. Resting on the sink's side-rims, this board never slides into the sink, wobbles, moves or bounces. Its convenient size allows me to run water into the sink when it's in place. Chop, chop, mince, mince, shove the cuttings through its hole or off its rear edge into the disposal. Just right for dicing juicy tomatoes.

The board is easy to clean and easy to store (mine hangs on a wall). Well made, its surfaces have stayed smooth, show no signs of warping and don't dull my knives. With periodic applications of mineral oil, I expect this board to last many times longer than the six months I've had it so far. For me, it's an indispensable tool for my tiny kitchen.
