I bought this the year I hosted my first Thanksgiving in 2000, and we have used it every year since then. It also gets regular use for parties and other holidays for roasts, hams, and appetizers. I wash it with soap and water and oil it with olive oil occasionally, and it shows no sign of warping. The surface is completely covered in hash marks from all the carving, but since I never use this board for raw meat, I am not concerned about bacteria.

The size makes it difficult to store, but the big size is also a big plus when you are carving a large bird or a spiral ham. For the price, it has held up extremely well.

I've had this board now for a year and a half, and use it all the time. Other than minor warpage along its long axis, it's held up great. The juice "moat" along the edge is very helpful, and the large size is a real benefit for carving a whole turkey.

Be aware that this board is constructed such that is cannot help but warp over time. Mine was treated with care, oiled regularly and dried after each washing. If you want a lasting cutting board, buy a maple end-grain board. It will outlast a dozen of these cheapos.

We purchased this board to use for carving turkeys, roasts, etc. It has a nice deep groove all around it for catching juice and drippings, and is a perfect size! We treated it with mineral oil when we received it, and have so far (only a few weeks) been very satisfied with its utility. It is good looking, well made, and fairly priced. We received it in a timely manner. No regrets!
Update: on January 1, 2011. Still going strong. We think that treating once or twice with mineral oil has made a difference.

Sure enough, the new present to myself was just the thing my culinary skills needed to hone themselves even further. The board itself is easy to handle, easy to clean, and very presentable. In other words, if you are expecting company, show them this board and they will be most impressed. The surface is smooth which makes for usefulness in fileting fish, cutting veggies and the like. Be cognizant of the fact that the board is ideally used for turkey stuffing, though I find it just as useful for preparing stir fried vegetables before dumping them into my wok. A prize in any one's culinary arsenal.
