This review is from: Catullus: The Complete Poems (Paperback)
Catullus is probably the best Latin poet that ever lived, and he remains well-known today for good reason. His poems range from speaking of his gentle love for 'Lesbia' (Claudia), from whence comes the famous line "Vivamus mea Lesbia atque Amemus" (let us live and let us love, My Lesbia), to piercing Gellius' naked body with his 'arrows', to male prostitution, to praising the worship of the Moon Goddess Diana. A must-read for anyone interested in Classical culture
