great stuff--helps keep the skin clear,

I've been using this product for around 4 months, and noticed a difference in my skin after a few days of use. I tend to have eczema as well as oily skin and breakouts, and this stuff always makes a big difference when i apply it at night. it's also really refreshing on a hot day. and the fragrance is nice -- kind of a mint/rosemary/botanical smell. i'd highly reccommend it--esp since it doesn't have any scary additives or preservatives. ;)

I have had more than my fair share of skin issues through the years, and in trying to find answers have used dozens of products, from the sublimely expensive, (Erno Lazlo, Z Baggati, Carita Paris), the usual suspects, (Clinique, Chanel, Patricia Wexler, Peter Thomas Roth, Skinceuticals, MD Forte, MD Skincare, Kinerase, etc.) to the drug store variety, including Olay and Loreal. Here is a special note for women who suffer with any form of eczema: I found that my "acne" which was extremely stubborn was in fact staph infection that went undiagnosed for YEARS. I learned that every person who struggles with eczema carries staph, even me whose eczema was extremely mild. A visit to an infectious disease specialist finally gave me my answers. The specialist told me to purchase Hibiclens which I use regularly on my face after one last round of antibiotics. This has completely cleared any trace of acne and I have had no problems when I wash my face regularly with the Hibiclens. Anyway, after using a ridiculous myriad of products, I found that none completely satisfied; (I have combination skin with dry cheeks and oily T-zone); that is, until I tried Caudalie. My skin adores these products. They absorb quickly, and are not too dry, or too oily. I live in a fairly dry climate and feel moisturized, yet when I visit humid areas I do not feel "oily". I have used 6 of the products so far. I started with the Beauty Elixir, which I now spray on bare skin as a pre-application for the serum and day cream, or at the end of the day when my skin could use a "pick-me-up" before an evening out, and so I do not have to wash my face and start from scratch with my makeup. I have graduated into the Vine Expert line including the serum, day radiance fluid, eye and lip serum, nightime cream and purifying concentrate. I love, love, love these products; my skin looks glowing and healthy, my skin tone is calm and dewy; even my teenage daughters have commented on how great my skin looks! At 46, I get compliments on my skin from perfect strangers all the time, especially women who want to know my "secret". I have little excess oil on my T-zone, and my cheeks are soft and velvety. Thankfully, a little product goes a long way so the price is not as great as it seems. If you care about your skin, try Caudalie. The products are fabulous.

Nice Scent, Feels Good,

I'd bought this product looking for something that would cool my face in hot, humid weather. I spritz this on over my makeup so as far as smoothing lines, I'm not sure I see that, but I do feel pores are a bit tighter and it's definitely refreshing. There's a slight tingling, not burning sensation. It smells absolutely DIVINE. I wish they'd make a candle from this fragrance.
Overall, it's great and I'm glad I bought it!

I have been using this for a few weeks and saw a difference in a few days. My skin is very sensitive and breakout prone. Sometimes oily, sometimes dry, and a total pain in the butt usually. A few months back I started doing bi weekly glyco peels and using Nuxe micellar cleansing water with 3 roses to wash and mario badescu to moisturize. My skin got much better, but was missing that glow.. I have now added the caudalie beauty elixir to the regime. It's gentle, smells great and feels amazing and gave me the glow I have been searching for! I have struggled with my skin since I was 13, now I'm 27 and a few days ago at the doctor the receptionist asked for my ID and made a wild face.. I thought something was wrong.. she told me she just couldn't believe my age and asked for "my secret".. Totally made my day because I'm the one always wondering what everyone else's secret is! Definately worth a shot, even if you are someone with majorly sensitive skin and nervous to try anything new, you won't regret this product and it's pretty affordable too. oh and my husband thinks it smells great:)

Unfortunately, not for me.,
This review is from: Caudalie Beauty Elixir To Go 1 oz (Misc.)
Normally, I would not spend $40+ for a fancy water/alcohol blend. But I had just run out of toner (from another brand), had some store credit I wanted to be rid of from Sephora, and all they had left was one 3.4 oz bottle of this product. I had heard good things about it though, and the rep that was helping me recommended it for its naturally-derived ingredients and simplicity. Along with the Beauty Elixir, the rep recommended the Vinopure Matte Finish Fluid, which I bought as well.
The most important thing for me is using products with safe ingredients that wont aggravate my oily, acne-prone skin. So I've been leaning more towards natural and organic products, as they tend to have fewer controversial and/or proven harmful ingredients. Caudalie products hardly meet these standards, but it's better than a lot of the other brands that Sephora offers. Especially now that they have discontinued the Pangea Organics line, the only brand I still felt pretty comfortable using there. ): I immediately began using the Beauty Elixir along with the Vinopure Matte Finish Fluid twice a day. Unfortunately, within one or two weeks, I noticed that I was getting a lot of little whiteheads around my T-Zone. A few whiteheads on occasion are normal for me, but the extent to which I was breaking out at this point was unusual. I don't know whether it was the toner, the moisturizer, both, or something else that just happened to coincided with the time that I began to use these products. Maybe I just didn't use them long enough? But I didn't want to risk making it worse by experimenting to find out, so needless to say, I discontinued use immediately. Within a week my skin returned to normal. I'm pretty convinced that it was these Caudalie products that caused the breakout, but take from it what you will. They must be working for some others at least, just from looking at the reviews. Just be wary if you're acne-prone like me. What I DID like about the Beauty Elixer was the glass bottle and spray. It comes out in a very fine mist - just two sprays was enough for me. The cooling sensation (from the balm mint, I suppose) felt nice. However, my skin has always been sensitive to alcohol, so it'd sting for a few second around my eyes, nose, and other sensitive areas. It wasn't excruciating, but not pleasant either. I gave this product two stars for the nice packaging, spray, and some decent ingredients. Took three stars for the ridiculous price, use of alcohol plus a few other questionable ingredients, and for potentially making me break out. I'll be taking this, along with the moisturizer, back to Sephora and returning to the products I had been using before.

I can already tell a difference in my skin. I usually read reviews before purchasing products and after knew I had to try this product. I love it and have only been using for 1 week. My skin feels smoother and looks better. I use it before my moisturizer and also to set my makeup. I just cannot say enough good things about this product!!!

SEE WHAT A GRAPE CAN DO!,
Who says there's nothing new under the sun or, in this case, under the grape arbor? In what can only be thought of as a serendiptious meeting in 1993 young Mathilde and Bertrand Thomas met a professor from Bordeaux University on the estate of the Chateau Smith Hunt Lafitte. From this chance meeting the couple learned that the professor had discovered that seeds thrown away at the close of a grape harvest contained anti-ageing properties. Following research, experimentation, and several patents, Caudalie was born. A favorite from this line is Beauty Elixir, part tonic, part serum. Use of toners has proven too harsh, having a tendency to dry skin while the Elixir softens. In addition to the Grape Extracts Beauty Elixir contains Vitamins A, B, and C, extracts of Myrrh, Orange and Rose Flower, and oils of Rosemary and Mint. The Elixir, for use on a cleansed skin under moisturizer, tightens pores and smoothes the complexion leaving skin with a natural glow.

Product description from the Caudalie website:
An original formulation based on the Beauty Elixir of the Queen of Hungary. Product Details: The story reveals that after the death of the King, the incredibly beautiful Queen of Hungary had suitors that were 25-35 years of age because of her youthful-looking skin . . . she was 70! CAUDALIE re-created her incredible elixir of youth, ingredient by ingredient. This remarkable mist is filled with essential oils and rare plants, giving an instant boost to your complexion. My thoughts: So because I'm a total nerd I had to research this so called "elixir of youth" and the illustrious wonder "Queen Isabelle of Hungary". Wouldn't you know I couldn't find a damn thing anywhere on the web that came even close. (There was however, a Queen Isabelle of Bavaria that determined to keep her good looks later in life regularly applied a mixture of boar brains, wolf blood and crocodile glands to her face. Mmm...yummy, but not quite the same.) Nice sales pitch though. I do like the way it smells and the cool tingly feeling is nice. It reminds me of a day at the spa. As for the effectiveness of the product, well that is yet to be determined.

I'm a snob when it comes to skin care. I have to be. Otherwise I break out in a mix of rosacea and acne. I am extremely cautious (maybe overly so) about what I put on my face. Until recently I was a strict Decleor Devotee. A few weeks ago I was introduced to the Caudalie line at a local Sephora.
The basis of every Caudalie product is the grape extract which, if the looks of Mediterranean beauties like Sophia Loren are anything to go by, I'm game for. The Elixir has a lovely smell and sprays on very minty and tingly. It certainly feels as if my skin is vibrant and glowing and my pores are definitely tighter afterwards. So far so good in the breakout department. No unsightly blemishes, although it doesn't necessarily soothe my skin either. The Beauty Elixir, like most items by Caudalie, is very affordable.
