Editorial Reviews

From Publishers Weekly

Jimmy Houston Outdoors has been a popular TV staple (ESPN) for two decades. Here, writing with freelancer Price, Houston shares his accumulated wisdom about and experience with bass fishing. The pieces are very informal, brief and jerky-Houston says the book involved a tape recorder instead of a TV camera. Topics include technique, bait, boats, rods and how to remove a hook from the hand. Major factors in fishing for bass are water conditions, type of water, time of year and weather, Houston shows. Reminiscing about tournaments he and his wife have fished, he compares tournament fishing with long-distance auto racing in terms of the concentration required. This book is limited in scope; bass fishermen and ~ -women will appreciate it, but Houston's medium is television, not print.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read for anyone who loves to fish., November 22, 1998
By A Customer
This book is a must read for anyone who loves to fish. It is very humorous, as well as, informative. I myself can appreciate the humor encountered, because I have spent many hours on the water and can definitely relate to this book. Buy this book for yourself, or someone who loves to fish. Whomever receives it will greatly appreciate this book. I couldn't put it down until I had read the last word.
