Very Solid Read!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Caught Up! (Paperback)
I think that "Caught Up" is one of the best urban tales out there. Winston Chapman has definitely held his own with this book. The reading is fast-paced, has solid editing, and a great main character. It was a little unrealistic for Raven to accomplish what she did in such a short amount of time but this is a fiction novel and the girl brought her "A" game. Bottom line, buy this book, you won't be disappointed.

This book was "Da'Bomb"!! Winston is a very talented writer. I meet him in South Dekalb Mall. I was leary about getting the book. I told him that I wasn't a "BIG" reader. But when I started talking to him, He told me to give it a try. Only to my suprise I couldn't put this book down for anything. It keep me onthe edge the entire way!! Got me "EXCITED" a few times also!!!(SMILE) Raven was so Brave of all she've been through. It just goes to show that, "Fame can make you and break you"! Being "Caught Up" will open your eyes. You must read this book to know the experience that I've been through. Well done Winston!! Looking forward to your next one. This time you don't have to convince me.(SMILE)

One Night Stand,
By Jaz (Okmulgee, OK) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Caught Up! (Paperback)
If I was writing a book I'd want the reader to feel as if they'd just had a One Night Stand. This is the way that I was left feeling after reading the high energy book "Caught Up" by Winston Chapman. It was quick & easy, leaving me certain though perplexed; a tease yet satisfying. Let me just break it down for you. This book was a quick read and easy to digest because of the reality of the content. For certain I could relate, but man o'man, watching as the plot thickened and the characters evolved, kept a sense of mystery burning inside of me. This heat fueled my desire to get to the end. As graphic details, placed so intricately by the author, crawled through my mind and body, the illusion that I was actually in the game was created. What a tease! Indeed, an author that can literally take you and put you exactly where he wants you to be has got to be given his props.

I Was CAUGHT UP!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Caught Up! (Paperback)
Okay -- I have to admit it -- I was Caught Up by the story!!I didn't know what to expect when I picked up the book at Waldenbooks, but I'm glad I did. First of all, let me say that I've never read a storyline like this one before. Learning about the inner-world of hidden sexy professions was very intriguing. But more than just that, the writing was EXCELLENT!! I felt like I was there! This would make for a great movie. I kept thinking I had a beed on the story and then the author would put in a twist -- I loved it. Even the last page was a surprise! I don't know where Mr. Chapman has been, but this is one brotha who knows how to write and tell a story! I can't wait to read his future work. I hope it will be soon!

Better than sex...,
By Monica McCaskill (Mt. Vernon, NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Caught Up! (Paperback)
I bought this book first because of the cover, then ye 'ol weatherman said it was going to rain the entire weekend. Okay, 1 out of 2 is not so bad. It rained one day, but I was able to finish this book in one night. The characters you can totally relate to, the plots and subplots flowed like the Nile River. And the ending? Not one of those 'happily every after' blah , blah, blah. But one of those endings that made you say, "Dayum!!" on a crowded subway during rush hour in Manhattan!! Simply put, I loved it, I loved it!!

Raven is a mess!!!,

The book has a good entertainment value to it. It is definitely a Page Turner!! However, I wished that Raven had consequences for her actions. Also she didn't seem to have learned any valuable lessons from the mistakes she made. Winston did an excellent job of creating passion filled sex scenes. I loved the fact that the book was sat in the ATL. Overall the book was interesting. Although it focused on the nightlife of exotic dancers, it peaked my curiosity.

Seductive and Enticing!,
By Andrea (Maryland) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Caught Up! (Paperback)
Winston Chapman will rope you in, and leave you struggling to turn each page fast enough, in his seductive novel, CAUGHT UP! His creativity is sewn into realistic themes that many young women struggle with during maturation, as they search for their identity, map out their goals, and assess the strength of their moral foundation. He presents these issues with a fresh voice, original thinking, and a wonderful unique style. Five stars go to Winston for stepping out of the box, and enticing the reader while he does it. Kudos to this author!Raven Klein is a biracial woman from Iowa who becomes seduced by a whole new world she knew nothing about in a big city. After she arrives in Atlanta, she gets a crash course in survival of the fittest. The reader can understand how she was seduced and enticed to "take the bait", and get caught up in a lifestyle that possesses the same quality as a two edged sword. It can destroy and wound the person holding it, or it can also destroy and wound a weaker party who is standing defenseless. Someone is going to win, and someone is going to lose. Raven decides which one it's going to be, and earns her control, in this back stabbing world, yet she soon discovers that even when she thinks she's in control of the game, territorial threats present themselves through a host of strangers, so called friends, business acquaintances, and even through a lover. One wrong move could prove to be fatal, but for whom? Lessons are learned, but how, and at what price? Don't delay in finding out, by daring to explore Raven's world, in CAUGHT UP! If you purchase this title, plan on losing sleep from staying up all night to find out how it ends!

Caught up by Winston Chapman,
By Tiffanie Lewis-Facey (Hackensack, NJ) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Caught Up! (Paperback)
The book was one of the best fictional books I've read in the last year. He caught every fantasy of must young person in the african american culture to be rich and live good. The best thing about the book was who you thought did the killing was who we would least expect and who she marries if I can say myself was unbelievable.

I received this book as a gift from a co-worker. After reading the first chapter, I had my whole office wanting to read it! We were so hooked on this book that we met Winston at Perimeter Mall and bought several copies to start our book club. I've told everyone about this book because after reading it, you'll know someone that are just like the characters. With the setting in Atlanta, made the story all that better. When I'm in bookstores where it's being sold, I recommend it to customers to buy. Keep up the good work, Winston...you have been blessed with a beautiful talent. I'm looking forward to your next book.
