Used it this weekend to remove old caulk on a plastic tub surround for re-caulking. (I don't know what kind of caulk it was, but the bottle states that it works on silicone and latex caulk). It did an excellent job.

It doesn't just dissolve the caulking, it softens it up and makes it more flexible while loosening its adhesion. It makes it a lot easier to get a scraper or other tool under it.

Has a bit of an odor so it's best to have some sort of ventilation going.

If I could have left zero stars, I would have. This product has zero effect on removing silicone bathtub caulking. I have a fiberglass shower/tub, and I was removing the shower doors, in favor of a new shower curtain. Needed to remove two beads of dried-up silicone bathtub caulking. Sprayed on, let sit 5 minutes, no effect. Sprayed on again, let sit for 10 minutes, no effect. Sprayed on again, and let it sit for 20 minutes, still no effect.

Unless Dap Kwik Seal is Goo Gone's Caulk Remover's kryptonite this stuff won't do a thing but burn your skin if you accidentally get some on your skin.

Spray on, let it sit for 60 seconds per the package. Try to scrape... nothing. Note it's not even changing the surface of the caulk. Spray some more on, wait a few minutes. Caulk hard as a rock, not budging, now shiny though due to the layer of Goo Gone just sitting up on top of it, doing nothing. Spray more on, wait an hour. Nothing.

The only thing this product removes is your patience. Avoid. You'd be better off taking dollars bills you'd spend on this product and trying to sand the caulk off with the money yourself, I bet you'd get better results.

I put a very thin layer of silicone caulk around my kitchen sink and about 2 weeks later tried to get it off. We applied Goo Gone Caulk Remover multiple times with little if any result. There's gotta be something out there for silicone remover, but this is not it.
