The title of this wonderful book brings you the "caution" to know how much of a growing experience soul mate relationships bring. One quote from the book sums up this fact: "Our deepest emotional responses are triggered by soul mates - no one else pushes us in the same way. Whatever the issue, the key is to work on ourselves, and to integrate ALL layers of our being."

Through the poignant stories shared, the authors did one fantastic job in relating the TRUTH about soul mate relationships. They are NOT garden-of-Eden relationships without struggle. They ARE completely transformative, and it may take everything you've got to un-do old karmic patterns in order to embrace the growth your soul came into this life to learn, with the full agreement of your soul mate. Each of you is a catalyst for profound growth and transformation for the other.

I know that the information provided in this book is truth. If you are "looking for your soul mate" then you had better be ready for uprooting the old negative patterns that have caused pain in your life, so you can shine again. The growth process is a deep one. However, once the growth is made, THEN you can have that Bliss that you each deserve. Treasure your soul mate relationship, and embrace the challenges before you. They are there for your highest growth. I have long been fascinated by the concept of soulmates and have read many publications on the topic. This book is one of the most straighforward take on the subject. It turns the common perception of the concept (that there is one and only one)on its ear as well as suggesting that the way society sees marriage and relationships may actually be hindering our soul development. I must admit that while some of the descriptions and suggestions are hard for me to accept, instinctively, there's a part of me that recognizes the truth of so much Janet Cunnigham says.

In fact, my only reason for giving it four stars instead of five is because of its length - I wish it were longer and even more in-depth!

Another fascinating book that covers soulmates is Michael Newton's "Destiny of Souls" (the sequel to his "Journey of Souls", another fabulous book). I suggest reading them all.

This is a great book and the first that I have read that articulated my belief in what the soulmate thing is all about. The examples used are, at times, difficult (no one wants to give the thumbs up to a soulmate union where one of the parties is cheating on the significant other). But if you can push past that, what the author is saying is very true.

Having been involved in a soul mate relationship in the past and am currently involved in one right now, I did not care at all for this book and was considering returning it. I have read many books on the subject and this one was by far the worst. While the overall gist of what these authors are saying is what other books also say on the topic, I don't like that they make light of a persons infidelity, as if it is something that is natural, and how it is not natural to be monogamous. All I know is that when I am with my soul mate, I feel that he is the end all be all for me. I want no parts of anyone else. I understand that people grow and change and every relationship is different, but if you feel that you aren't getting everything from your partner and you have discussed that with them and you see no change, then leave. That is just my opinion, and to each his or her own. A far better book on the topic of soul mates is "When Two Souls Connect, The Real Soul Mate Story" by Steve Gunn. Gunn is a psychic medium and author, and extremely knowledgeable about the phenomenon of soul connections. This book explains everything about the topic, and if you are in the midst of a soul mate relationship like I am, it is extremely helpful and encouraging to read the stories and hear his insights.
