In anticipation of getting a new Cavalier Spaniel puppy, I bought this book, to educate myself about this dog breed. I found this book very helpful. It even has a page in the back of the book, to add a photo of your puppy, as well as information, such as your Vets name, address and phone number. It also has a chart to record your puppy's shot record. I will use this book for reference, as I encounter problems in raising my puppy to be a good citizen. It is full of helpful information. I found it to be the best book I have found yet!

This book is an excellent resource not only for training and caring for my new cavalier, but also very informative about their colorful history. I still refer to it often, and my dog is now 3 years old. I credit this book for helping me achieve success in training and understanding her.

I had been looking forward to reading this book, so I thumbed through it as soon as it arrived. My anticipation was dashed by my realization that this book contained very general canine information and advice. Almost all -- I say that because, based on my cursory review, I was so disappointed I did not even read it -- of its contents would apply to any breed of dog. I believe people who buy this book want to know specifics about the Cavalier breed. This book does not fulfill its advertised intentions. Any breed name could be substituted for the use of the words "Cavalier KC Spaniel/Cavalier" throughout. This supposed "...Comprehensive Owner's Guide" was a major disappointment.
