nice product, just what i expected. the only difference is that expected the rim to be a bit wider. but the hat looks great, feels good on the head, and is very comfortable to wear compared to my previous one

Item shipped quickly and was exactly what was expected. Worried that it would take forever coming to Hawaii but it well exceeded my expectations.

This has got to be the best Cavalry Hat on the market; due to the shape; and quality of the material. Look Sharp; Act Sharp; and Be Sharp!! hoorah This hat will do it for you!!!

I considered several different styles of Cav hats and choose this one for it's pleasing appearance. The brim is 3 inches to conform with the usual and standard modern military Cavalry hat dimensions. The crown is a perfect height. On top, the center is creased from front to rear, and there is a small attractive depression on each side of the crown at the front (but which does not run all the way to the rear). In my opinion this is the best looking style, especially since it comes shaped with a flat brim that dips slightly to the front and rear. I recently wore it to a Cav ball and it looked better than several other styles represented that night. I wore it for several hours and it was very comfortable (even while dancing). The leather band is marked with the Stetson Logo and the holes for the leather strap are nicely trimmed with a black metal grommet. The only concern that I had (at first glance) was; that the band is not marked "Beaver" or with any of the Stetson X's, so I do not know what the exact composition is (my other Stetson has "Stetson Beaver 4x" on the band and a small silver hologram of authenticity which this one lacked). However the material appears identical to and has the same heft and feel as my 4x Beaver Stetson. I still gave it 5 stars because the quality appears to be the usual Stetson quality.
