Unusual with some gems,

I would have spent more time with arrangements to optimize the environment. There's some unique sounds recorded here. Some sound as though little pre-arrangements were thought out. However, I like unique recordings, and this is cool. The bass can sound alot like a whale in some spots, and other effects are new, too. Great for a recording engineer or song writer.Go for again with some real arrangements and take more instruments.

A very cave'like recording of extraordinary nature,

This recording not only gathers the talents of ex-Gabriel bandmembers Tony Levin and Jerry Marotta with Steve Gorn. It also puts together several elements that I had not seen in an album before. The music was recorded using a unique technique of puttin microphones in the ear of the Recording Engineer, which maskes it the PERFECT record to listen to with headphones. Besides this, it is a beautiful musical rendition inside a cave, which creates some quite unexpected reverberations. Highly recommended. |
