Editorial Reviews

The Debut Album from Rouge Rouge "ce Soir, Après Dîner" is a Hybrid Mixture of Fresh Down Tempo, Electro, and Dub Sounds and Vocals from Lunar Singles of the 60's and the 70's. The Duo of Jean Croc and Nicolas Errera Produced 11 Surprising and Satisfying Tracks Full of Emotion, Humour and Love Such as "l'amour", Featured on the "hôtel Costes 5" Collection. While You May Not Know the Title of "Decide Toi", You'll Definitely Recognize it from a 2002 Mercedes Ad Campaign as Well as on the "Paris Lounge 2" and "Champs Elysees 2" Collections. And There is Plenty More to Explore and Marvel at on this Disc, Especially "Cache Cache" which is Simply Intoxicating. The "French Sound" Has Been Taken to a New Level Past Daft Punk and the Like with New Dimensions and Vocals Added in the Mix for a Fantastic Aural Experience!

Like a breath of fresh air. From the tasteful design of the CD cover to the artsy sounds from within, you won't be dissapointed!

I first came across Rouge Rouge by the song Attention which was featured on a compilation...I knew I had to have the record.

I've only passively listened to it once, but it keeps getting better and better with each spin.

Sometimes, it only takes one word to go with the beat. There's no messin' around with tricky lyrics. And you wont make any mistakes when booming out the song in the shower. The easy dance beat and groovy riffs makes this a fun party disk. For all you knitters out there, Tricoter is our song. Its the french verb "to knit". Purl on!

The more I hear the cd, the more I like it, Rouge-Rouge just gets better and better. The first time it was great, but after about five times it's just excellent. It has gone to the top of my list./ I am so impressed with Rouge-Rouge that I look up Nicolas Errera, and got another one of his compositions "L'Outremangeur", it is also great. This composer is a real find, coming from a huge Hotel Costes fan. Highly recommened.

This CD is by far my best buy of 2004. If you like mood music that puts you into a lounge/disco bar in France, this is for you. It is perfect for anytime when ultra hip international music is called for. EVERY song is nearly a masterpiece and tres romantique!

If you are looking for something different, this is the CD for you. The sounds evoke some past, simpler times and you can almost hear the clinking of wine glasses in the background. Lite, great sounds and interesting production values make this a great CD to play while you are having friends over.
