Book Description

February 1, 2006
Though it has an unrivaled range of blue flowers and includes plants suitable for many gardening and landscaping situations, this North American native genus has long been underutilized. Its species range from Canada south through southern Mexico and from coast to coast, and there are forms from ground-hugging mats through shrubs to trees. A complete horticultural and botanical treatment of the genus aimed at both gardeners and botanists, this book finally gives Ceanothus — with so many plants that tolerate sun and shade, thrive in arid conditions, and bear a profusion of beautiful, fragrant flowers — the recognition it deserves.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book on a Great Plant, January 11, 2007

This review is from: Ceanothus (Hardcover)
This is one of my two favorite plant books, the other being 'California Native Plants for the Garden' also co-authored by David Fross. The information provided is exactly what you need to know about choosing and maintaining the right Ceanothus for your garden.

This review is from: Ceanothus (Hardcover)

It,s a beautiful book. The only thing I found was a picutre of a certain ceanothus that I wanted to see was suppose to be on page 2. There was no page 2. But other than that it is very informative and has beautiful pictures.
