I have been a fan of CeCe Winans for a long long time, but this is the first solo album of hers that I've had on perpetual play since I got it. Not only are there some amazingly great songs on this album, but EVERY song is good, and the whole album is infinitely listenable. This is a CD that I LOVED the first time I heard it. Now how often can you say that happens? Not often enough, I say...

CeCe's voice is great, of course, and the songs are hot, singable, danceable, and groovable. Seriously good producing on this album. Also, CeCe doesn't skirt around Christianity, but addresses it fully in songs like "Anybody Wanna Pray," "Out of My House," and "Holy Spirit Fill This Place." Just want to say that this album is on par with any of it's secular counterparts, and in fact surpasses any secular R&B albums I've heard.

Faithful fans of CeCe will love this album, as her trademark voice is showcased fully (of course!) and new fans will be instantly drawn in by her voice & the music. CeCe isn't just resting on her laurels, but has obviously been working to get a group of really great songs as well as experimenting with different styles. This is definitely not "formula," but will satisfy even the most traditional of fans.

THIS CD IS A MASTERPIECE AND TRULY CAPTURES THE ESSENSE OF CECE!!! I LOVE ALL THE SONGS ON HERE AND HAVE NO COMPLAINTS!!!

1.HEAVENLY FATHER- IS A PRAYER. THERE IS A LOT OF PRAYING ON THIS ALBUM AND THIS IS AN AWESOME SONG OF PRAISE!!
2.ANYBODY WANNA PRAY- IS A HIP-HOP/GOSPEL/R&B TYPE OF SONG WHICH FEATURES A GOSPEL RAP GROUP CALLED "GRITS". THIS SONG HAS A GREAT MESSAGE AND IS NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH!
3.SAY A PRAYER-IS LETTING US KNOW HOW MUCH POWER THERE IS IN PRAYER.
4.MORE THAN WHAT I WANTED -IS SHOWING HOW MUCH IN LOVE SHE IS WITH JESUS. THIS SONG TRULY SHOWS WHAT GREAT VOCALS CECE POSSESSAND WHAT SHE CAN DO WITH THE ANOINTING OF GOD.
5.LOOKING BACK AT YOU-IS A BEAUTIFUL LOVE SONG WHICH ALSO SHOWS CECE'S VOCAL TALENT. THIS SONG IS LETTING US KNOW HOW MUCH WE CAN DEPEND ON THE LORD.ONE OF THE BEST SONGS ON THE ALBUM.
6.MORE THAN JUST A FRIEND-IS A UPBEAT SONG WITH A GOOD MESSAGE TO IT.THIS IS THE TYPE OF SONG YOU LISTEN TO WHEN YOU ARE FEELING DOWN.GOD WANTS TO BE MORE THAN JUST A FRIEND!!
7.NO ONE-THIS IS THE BEST SONG ON THIS CD AND THAT IS THE TRUTH.
IT SIMPLY TALKS ABOUT HOW NO ONE COULD EVER LOVE HER LIKE JESUS.
ITS MY FAVORITE SONG ON THE ALBUM.
8.FOR LOVE ALONE-IS A SONG OF SOUL ENCOURAGEMENT. A NICE TEMPO TO IT AND ANOTHER SONG WITH A GREAT MESSAGE.
9.BRING BACK THE DAYS OF YEA AND NAY-FEATURES CECE'S BROTHER MARVIN L. WINANS. THIS SONG TALKS ABOUT THE CHANGES THAT NEED TO BE MADE IN THIS WORLD. THIS IS ANOTHER PRAYER SONG.
10.OUT MY HOUSE- IS A SONG THAT SHE IS SIMPLY TELLING THE DEVIL THAT HE IS NOT WELCOME AND TO GET OUT OF HER MIND,SOUL,SPIRIT, FAMILY, AND HOUSE. SHE WROTE THIS SONG ON A NIGHT THAT THE DEVIL WAS ATTACKING HER AND HER FAMILY. HIP-HOP/R&B RHYTHM.
11.HOLY SPIRIT COME FILL THIS PLACE-IS A SONG THAT WELCOMES THE HOLY GHOST TO HER MIND,PLACE OF WORSHIP, AND SOUL. THIS IS A SLOW SONG AND IS ONE OF THE BEST SONGS ON THE ALBUM. YOU WILL BE BLESSED BY THIS SONG.
12.IT'S GONNA GET BETTER-IS A SONG LETTING US KNOW THAT WEEPING MAY ENDURE FOR A NIGHT BUT JOY WILL COME IN THE MORNING. HALLELUJAH!!!!
13.BETTER PLACE-IS A UPBEAT SONG THAT IS SAYING GET YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER JESUS IS COMING TO TAKE US TO HEAVEN AND SHE WANTS US THERE WITH HER.GREAT SONG.

CeCe is on fire and she's happy about it! Wonderful song selection, near perfect delivery. This cd proves that serving God can be an enjoyable experience. Those who enjoy more traditional style gospel music may not be impressed, but this cd is by far one of the best to have been released by any gospel artist. CeCe proves yet again why she is the "Princess"; there is NO ONE on the gospel scene who can dethrone her. This is music that soothes the troubled mind and just makes you happy to be alive! You should have purchased this cd, like, yesterday :)

CeCe Winans is at her personal best with this self-titled recording! The music may sound like something you would hear on your favorite artist R&B offering, but belive me, this is a true gospel disc, and Mrs. Winans is giving it to you with both barrels. Faith and love for our Savior is very evident from tracks one to thirteen, and her voice is still as commanding as in her previous recordings. Ain't a instrument played that could drown her out! Songs are chosen from the traditional to the comtemporary and she compliments each one with her style of gospel that may disagree with some, but for those who know her message of reaching the masses with what you have, it will hit right on target. Personally, this CD is one of the reasons that she will reign as one of gospel's true heavyweights, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Bravo!

I love CeCe,she is a big inspiration in my life and my twin sister aswell,we love he music,and we love her minstry,she is a powerful woman of God who is not ashame to praise God.I thank God for that,I love the way she worship that alone,does something to my spirit,by itself,an I thank God For it,I want to tell CeCe Thank,and God Bless U,Love Ashley!

CeCe Winan is without a doubt "one of the best renown and truly gifted artists of her time". Her voice, style, elegance, spirit, and execution of the lyrics she sings is indeed angelic. I am always moved and touched in my spirit and heart when I listen to her sing. I once, several years ago. had a wonderful, very brief experience, of meeting her in person by accident in a Christian book store and I have never forgotten it. She is as personable as she is dynamic and beautiful in spirit and personality. I also love her family "The Winans".

I have been enjoying this CD for some time now and wanted to share my love for this Artist and her music. Not only is she one of the most amazing vocalists I've ever heard (I too am a Singer/Songwriter),secular or non-secular music, but her music and lyrics are just what we need during these times. Each song will take you on a journey of the heart and mind. Even my 4 yr old loves this CD! Don't hesitate to buy it!

CeCe has done it again! She has managed to make another album that will surely touch lives with these powerful songs. All of her 13 tracks carry a distinct message of hope, love, and life for the Christian walk and our unsaved ones. My personal favorites are "Heavenly Father","Say A Prayer", "More Than What I Wanted", and "Holy Spirit, Come and Fill This Place". I would recommend this album to anyone if you're looking for a great CD! Something different about this album is that she has her background vocalists highlighting many of her songs which adds more life to her album. Da'dra Greathouse and Steve Crawford from the gospel hit group, Anointed do guest vocals on "Say A Prayer", "No One", "For Love Alone", and Bring Back the Days". CeCe Winans is truly a servant of God and is not ashamed to show it! I LOVE YOU CECE and I wish you all of God's richest blessings on your life. Make sure you buy this album soon!! It's so HOT!! From the moment that I heard CeCe's voice, I knew that it was a gift from God. Her sultry voice and passion for Christ are truly displayed in every song on this album. This is a must have! Once you listen to this album, you will not be able to put it down. My kids love it so much that when I first bought the album, it was all that we listened to in the car for months. Their favorite is track #4, and they sing along with it! My son never use to sing before, but now it's "I wanna hear CeCe #4, mommy". Anyone who does not feel the spirit moving through her songs, truly does not understand the spiritualness, completeness, and fullness of God that is displayed here.

Once again, this is a must have!!

I am a huge fan of CeCe Winans. Her voice is so pure and beautiful and she is so in touch with her music that you can not help but be drawn into her message.

She is known for her ballad-like songs, but in this cd she lets it all hang out! She experiements with R&B and Hip Hop arrangements and excels. She also includes her trademark gospel ballads that I, and everyone else who has ever heard them, have come to love.

The more I listen to this cd, the more I love it. "Heavenly Father" rocks; "For Love Alone" tells us our true reason for being; "More Than Just A Friend" is a reminder to all of us busy people that God wants to be EVERYTHING; "Bring Back the Days Of Yea and Nay" is deep and the brother singing with her is phenomenal; "Holy Spirit Come and Fill This Place" is entrancing. I could go on and on becuase each and every cut on this cd is GREAT! This is a must have for your gospel collection.
