When I first opened the case, I was a little worried that I may have bought a piece of junk. My initial thoughts were - this is a little too light, it won't hold a tune and it just feels cheap. Once my daughter's violin instructor looked it over and tuned it for me, she gave her thumbs up and said it's a great beginner violin, especially for the little amount that it costs. With the right amount of pressure on the pegs, it holds its tune just fine.

This has been a great learning violin for my child. The music instructors will have you believe that you need to spend $500 on a starter violin for your child, but this is just fine, thank you! Why rent an expensive used violin or buy an expensive one when you can have this, complete with the case? My child has learned how to play very well on this and it will be in beautiful shape to pass on to my younger child when they start to play. This is a very good option for those who don't want to spend a small fortune renting a violin or breaking the bank buying an expensive new one. A great value for the money!

I bought this violin 6 months ago for my daughter. When it arrived, the bridge was not installed, the tuning going off very frequently. When the strings tighten to tune the instrument are not staying which requires to tune every time that she wants to use. My kid's music teacher is not happy with the instrument as it is taking too much of her time to keep the instrument tuned. This product is a waste of money. Don't waste your time or your money!
