5.0 out of 5 stars Cecilio CVN-200 Rosewood 3/4 Size Violin with Case and Accessories
Perfect for my 11 year old. No complaint. A friend of mine lent us his $2000 violin and after tuning this one, it sounds almost just as good as my friend's violin side by side.

1.0 out of 5 stars Please Do Not Purchase This For Your Beginner!
I'm a music teacher and I see these instruments in my studio all the time. I cannot stress enough that these are instruments are of VERY POOR QUALITY. The tuning pegs are very cheap and slip at the slightest touch. The fine tuners are even worse. Most students who come to school with an instrument like this have to end up going back to the store and renting an instrument...

We love the violin. It came with so many items that we were quite surprised. The tuning of the violin for the first week was tough. I think it just needed to be broken in. Now it works great. Her violin instructor is also impressed with the quality and sound. The price was fantastic for all that you get. I would absolutely recommend this product.

4.0 out of 5 stars A nice starter violin, April 29, 2010

I bought this for my 9 year-old and have not been disappointed. I was worried that for the price the instrument might not hold up, but it has done well. The only negative comment I have is that the pegs move a little too easily and don't hold their pitch as well as I would like. I also bought her a nicer bow, which made a big difference in her sound. Overall, a fine beginner instrument.

This was a good choice for our son as a beginner. The violin seems to be decent quality and included everything we needed, except the chin rest. His teacher seemed to think it was a good starter violin.

My daughter is really enjoying it.This violin is very bright color, hand made, and beautiful. Quality seems very fine. The only issue strings, if you are new to strings, you should very careful when playing the instrument, we broke one of the strings right away, and fortunately it had some extras. We ordered some more strings just in case.

I have started palying piano since a little age, and just think of touching an string instrument. I got it after the order placed 10 days, it came in with a huge box, that almost to my neck. After I opened two boxes, a violin hard box finally showed up. I opened it, there is a violin silencely lying there, an concealed box next to it with a bridge and rosin inside. On the opposite side, there are two bows which setted stable.
......
I began to play it, the sound seemed to me not lound enough......I search online that the rosin would be more needed for the first time. So, I waped it completely, try again, it sound good, fair for this price.
Right now, I can play a couple of tones and getting improving.

Good luck to everyone who planned to play the violin. Just remind don't narrow your rosinB

Bought it for my son. It came within a week. The sounds are incrediable: beautiful, and stay in tune. Sure beat the 30 dollars a month rental. Will buy the full size if my son continue his interest. Love it. Should have look for it sooner.
Thanks again,
K
