This handsome chest by Abel Rios features hand-elaborated designs inspired by figures from indigenous Peruvian culture. Spanning the lid of the chest as well as the ends is the image of the condor, and on the front and back are featured the sun god and the moon goddess. The beautifully executed designs are worked into the leather that covers a base of cedar. The leather is finished with a varnish of natural hue, and the inside of the chest, which includes an interior shelf, is a deep walnut hue. The chest is completed by an old-fashioned key and detailed bronze handles and lock. Ideal for storing small personal effects.
