I have been fortunate to see Ceili Rain 5 times with each show better than the last. This is music that isn't played on the radio but is far superior to most that is being released today. I have all their albums - bought at their concerts or a local record store that gets them upon release. This is the best album available from Amazon. If you can get the live album "We're making a party" - get that also. Their energy live is incredible and it comes through on that album. One of the few artists that I will purchase their CD's without pre-hearing. They are all good. Listen to "Peace has broken out" and you'll be hooked.

I heard Ceili Rain for the first time at the National Catholic Youth Conference in Houston, Texas with 23,000 people. They put on an AMAZING show that was way better than the headlining concert for the evening. I went home and decided that I had to have the CD. I love "Thats All the Lumber" and all of the other songs. You won't regret purchasing this CD.

I saw this group at a national Catholic youth convention in St. Louis and they were great. I ordered the cd as soon as I got home!

As a proud and practicing agnostic, I rarely listen to "faith music" -- and I didn't know Ceili Rain was a Christian band until I saw the other Amazon reviews. I found this CD years ago in a Target display of "World Music" and it quickly became one of my favorite CDs. It's a wonderful blend of Irish pop-rock, with all the preaching kept to a minimum (heck, I didn't even know I was being preached to!). Enjoy it for the sweet music alone!

I first heard CeiliRain in religion class in 6th grade. One listen to "You Than Me Than You Than Me" and I was hooked this CD is good because it has a really catchy tune but also preaches the word of God.

As a lover of Christian praise and worship music as well as Celtic music of all kinds, I was still put off this CD by the raggedy looking young folks on the back photo until I heard the music unexpectedly and flipped for it! It's Celtic, it's rock and it's Christian in a way which I expect will lead to a couple dozen "imitators" in no time.

The song writers as well as the singers and musical artists all have a fun, delightful sense of humor that shows up in many ways. They also have that Irish way with words. I can't pick a favorite song because I like almost every one a lot. It's also a great CD to put on for dull jobs like house cleaning etc. You can't be too down with this lively and fun music helping you along!

If you like Celtic, Christian and/or rockin' music give this a try. It's not quite like anything you've ever heard before, but I really expect that you'll come back for more.

A joyous blend of traditional Celtic instrumentation with modern rock rhythms. The lyrics grab you by the heart and don't let go. If you don't live differently after hearing this CD - you're already dead.

A friend told me about Ceili Rain years ago and said that it was combination of Celtic, Christian, and pop/rock music with very clever lyrics and a touch of Beatles influences in catchy melodies and harmonies. My mind almost couldn't fathom this odd combination and I almost didn't listen to it. Fortunately, I gave the Ceili Rain CD "Say Kay-Lee" a listen, and have been hooked ever since! I still have this same original CD and still listen to it over and over and over again... 10 years later!

From the first infectious introductions of "That's All the Lumber You Sent" to the last notes on the CD, nearly every song has become a favorite. I have now bought and given away over 50 copies of this CD, and nearly everyone who listens to it also gets hooked, from 8 year olds to 78 year olds! (Suggestion: Ceili Rain CDs make GREAT Christmas and birthday gifts. Just make them promise to listen through the CD at least once or twice... They will get hooked and will be thanking you for years to come.!)

Don't get me wrong... the other Ceili Rain CDs that followed are also great, but this one is the "Mother-of-all-Ceili-Rain-CDs". My personal favorite songs on this CD include "Lumber", "Long Black Cadillac", "666 Degress", and my all-time favorite ballad, "Ceili Rain". Then again, ALL the songs on this CD are great, and with the start of the next song's introduction, I catch myself saying, "Oh, now THIS is my favorite song..." (Once you have memorized every note on this first CD, you'll want to get all the other CDs, as there are lots of other great gems on each of them as well!)

With a long history of writing pop/rock hits, Bob Halligan is a true genius and one of the most gifted songwriters I have ever heard. (There are tons of other reviews on Bob and his wonderful songwriting skills elsewhere, so even though I would like to, I won't ramble on here about Bob and the beauty of each song... he has too many great songs and I could go on for hours). Above and beyond his songwriting skills, Bob is a great communicator and a warm and compassionate human being with a heart for touching others' hearts.

Disclaimer: Ceili Rain is infectious - This CD can be addictive and may change your life! I have now seen Ceili Rain in concert dozens of times over the past 10 years, taught myself almost all the Ceili Rain songs from all the CDs on Irish pennywhistle, and was privileged to perform wth Ceili Rain on tour in Ireland and at the 10 year anniversary concert in Nashville... and I STILL enjoy listening to all the CDs in my car and on my IPod as often as I can! I don't know if it will happen to you, but if it does, you're in for a real treat!

Rock on Bob and company! Ceili Rain is my favorite band and it's been a splendid opportunity to get to know them. Celtic, Rock, and a whole lot of fun are blended superbly on Say Kay-Lee. I can't wait for the next studio release! This band is also one of the best live performers I've seen. If they are gigging near you...don't miss it!

I bought this CD after seeing the group in person. Not only is the CD superb, but they also put on a great show. This blend of both Celtic and Christian music is not only great listening for Christian music lovers, but also for the secular listening ears also. In fact, I think it is a great way to get someone listening to Christian music without them really knowing it. It is the only CD I listen to in my car.
